Sorry, you’ll get no discouragement from me. I got a thing for Kershaws. There’s a reason why that particular one is tugging at your heartstrings - it wants to go home with you. Who am I to deny it that reward.
Haha! Thank you sir. Hey Danny, my mother is first gen off the boat btw. Her first language was Italian. Assuming you're Italian from your handle.Sorry, you’ll get no discouragement from me. I actually had the Cold Steel version of this thing. I loved it, but sent it back for the Voyager. I wanted a dedicated self defense blade and felt the Voyager was better for that (and still do).My only discouragement would be - save for the Cold Steel.
Also, I kind of feel ripped off with single-edged daggers, even with the swedge. Looks sweet, though, I have a Boker Kalashnikov XXL in Desert Warrior, but I prefer Dessert Warrior.
Oh yeah, any Voyager would be better for that for sure. I only bought two dedicated daggers - one was when I was still barely getting into knives, was a couple weeks short of my first Opinel and two months short of my first Spyderco, just beginning to question the authenticity of BudK and huge bowies for $20 (Even though my example from them with my mother's family name is quite nice for what it is, I must say)... it was a Gerber Mk II rip-off when William Fairbairn and his knife was the epitome of defense in my mind, before Janich or the reverse-S or Cold SteelHaha! This would be a mild-beater for me. Something to keep my nicer knives from any real damage. I would enjoy looking at it, haha.
It's a manual, which is cool. The 8CR13MOV gives me pause, but the $ is right. $32.
BTW, I wanted one of those Kaloshnikov's. You should post pictures of it!
That thing is mighty pretty mister.Recently purchased a Oeser Tengu flipper by Benchmade. It’s a limited edition that was actually completed on my 60th birthday. Pictures do not do the 3-D depth of the carbon fiber handle and Damasteel blade justice.
It feels great in the hand, opens very fast, and is now one of my favorite knives with which to fidget. Haven’t cut anything other than envelopes, but boy is it slick.

I've been in the whiskey this evening, so I'll leave this short and sweet. But you're a man after my own heart! Haha. Love your knives. Still a cheap, cool knife for $20 bucks, even if there's plenty I'd call upon before that to save my life, can't even legally carry it! Does come with a clip on the sheath though, ha.
Second, being my other auto, the UTX-70. Nice to have a dual-edge in this style, it's already an OTF over 2in, may as well give it two edges. Works well for the tasks I ask of it! This thing is smaller than most penknives at 2.2" and I really only take it out for classy-style occasions, but I brought a bunch of tan/micarta stuff out in honor of the Kalashnikov XXL, I am kind of getting into the tan look a little bit. I shoulda included my tan Yojimbo and Buck 110 SS. The CLACK though, very satisfying on both. The way you describe the Kershaw, is kind of how I intend the Boker. I don't know what I'm gonna use it for, but it's gonna be great and fun, whatever it is!
And it's 100x better looking in person. That thing is mighty pretty mister.
Of course man, glad to nerd out!I've been in the whiskey this evening, so I'll leave this short and sweet. But you're a man after my own heart! Haha. Love your knives. That dagger is too cool.
Love the Kaloshnikov. I want to get one of those eventually.
I also see you have my grail knife, the Shaman.
Thanks for showing me. You have a great collection! Your tastes are a lot like mine. I could be limited to Cold Steel, Spyderco and Microtech and be totally happy for the rest of my life.
That Benchmade is super.I'll have to post multiple pictures, because they are all knives I've received in the past few weeks (just haven't had much internet free time!):
I scored a couple of great ones from the Exchange, a Lionsteel TM1, and the new Benchmade Weekender, which I admit I like a lot more than I thought I would:

Then my friend atNew River Knife Works has absolutely come through for me on these two Bokers and the following two GECs:

Last, but not least, I somehow scored a Sudbuster:

All in all, it's been a great few weeks for knives!
