Detail of milling on underside of pocket clip...Crazy! You'd never see this unless you disassembled the knife:

Just purchased a Ken Cardwell custom over on the BushcraftUSA forum. It's a Clovis-pattern knife, paired with a sheath made by Mountaineer Leather. 6 1/8" overall length, with a 3" blade and 3 1/8" handle. It's made from 1/8" 1095 steel with a scandi grind and Wenge wood handle. The sheath has scout loops and holes for a neck lanyard, which is how I'll be carrying it.

Looks fantastic, and I can't wait for it to arrive.

These photos are not mine, they were taken by Ken. I hope to have the knife in hand sometime next week.

I have never seen a knife like that before, and I have to say that I LOVE IT! Wow! It's like a modern take on what primitive man would have crafted and carried.

Thanks! I love it too, REALLY excited about it. And you're exactly right, it's a modern take on the Clovis pattern, pictured below. The Clovis culture existed from roughly 13,400–12,700 years ago, and is known mostly for producing this pattern of cutting tool. In case you're interested, here's a Wikipedia page that summarizes their history.

Condor makes two similar knives, the small Otzi knife and the larger Cavelore knife.
This is the Otzi, a facsimile of the knife carried by the Iceman. 5 1/4" overall with a blade of 1095 steel....

I finally got a matching fancy Espada L in CTS XHP! Technically have both knives but first is an S35VN XL and the second is a first gen fancy aluminum bolster AUS-8 Large that, I think someone tried to stonewash the scales/knife... Probably Call of Duty related 🙄 but got it for $99 (plus two horrible China Frosts, a fake Chinese SAK, a Schrader throwing hatchet, two sheathed Hibben throwing knives, and an actually pretty cool Craftsman onehand razor thing with a thumb stud, backlock, and interesting mechanism, and a thin 6"ish USA Maglite!! Not a bad deal considering the first gen Espada).
Very special hollow XL coming.

Anyways... I need two of each now... As I will be doing engraving and scroll-etching on one pair and making a "piano" Espada L/XL with the other pair. Must be done.

Sheath is amazing. Wicek Leather in Poland. Awesome guys, the XL sheath I commissioned last year, unsure when black with red stitching Large sheath came out, hopefully shows the work stands up! But the finish has improved.

This may be the greatest, most informative response I’ve ever received on Bladeforums. Thank you very much! I love learning about ancient and/or prehistoric civilizations, and I’ve never heard of the Clovis culture..

This one isn’t exactly lefty friendly. Pretty stiff right now. If it was a definite keeper, I would just polish the washers, but since IDK yet…gonna have to break in the action the good ole fashioned way…

EDIT: I decided to go ahead a polish the washers. Had minimal effect. I heard some people had good results with Teflon…so I ordered some Teflon & Nylatron washers for it. Hopefully one of those cods the trick.
