Everyone's latest acquisitions!

The Lion Steel Gitano has been on The List for a while now and going on sale was the tipping point for me. It's based on the old Spanish Navaja knives and this one designed by Gudy van Poppel was the custom knifemaker's first collaboration with Lion Steel. It has a 3.35" Niolox stainless steel blade, titanium bolster and liners, and green canvas Micarta scales. It's got a stronger backspring than most slipjoints, so it feels like the knife is locked when it's at both the open and half-opened positions. It's well made, captures the historic style well, feels good in the hand, and gives you a formal occasion knife that can hold its edge for a long time.

While negotiating a trade for a TRM Atom upgraded to carbon fiber scales, I picked up a set of Micarta and Titanium scales, and then I decided not to take off the carbon fiber when it arrives in a couple of days. So I picked a second one just to have a place to install the scales. I usually have doubles or triple of my favorite knives anyways, so...

Then on Sunday I picked up one I've had my eyes on for a while - my first Bugout ever, in M390 and milled aluminum scales. I avoided the Bugout before because of the soft "flexy" scales, and I skipped carbon fiber version of this in S90V because I have the Mini Freek in carbon fiber / S90V and like the red accents on this model (Bugout in CF and S90v comes with blue highlights).

Bugout in the right front pocket and Hinderer XM-18 in the right rear pocket (UTX-85 in the left front weak side pocket).

On Saturday my order arrived with a new version CJRB Pyrite with spydie-holes and steel PVD handle (and reverse something blah blah sheepsfoot (*#^@&! or whatever you call it blade?)...

I already had the thumb stud drop point version in all Titanium and another in Ti + Micarta scales.

Lastly I got two Benchmade Mini-Griptilian limited edition, in Tanto and Drop point. I call them Storm Troopers. Here's the pics of the Tanto and I'll edit to add the drop point in a few minutes. Both in S90V steel blacked out blades with white scales.

Ok the Domino is not new but the skiff bearings inside it are, so it feels like a whole new knife. Used to be I couldn't flick it open at all even with wrist action and now it is actually a pretty decent flipper.

I have one that I recently put skiffs in as well. Awesome knife man I love mine!

That's not too bad I'll have to try to keep my eye out for one. Them scales are sweet

I just emailed them to ask who did the milling on the scales to make the repetitive R1 text look like a geometric design. It's a sweet knife for sure.
