Beautiful camp cleaver and a beast.

Fairly dang sharp and slicing paper. Pretty good for being 1/4” stock and weighing over 1-1/2lbs.

Just got this. Decent action, and sharpness but it rattles when closed.

Have you tried oiling it up? I’ve had several ZTs that do the same thing. I put a drop of oil (blue lube or 10wt nano) on the detent ball/hole and some in the bearings….work it in….and it should go away. In my experience thats what works for me.

It’s worth a shot at putting a drop of oil in the pivot and on the detent ball. No need to take it apart or anything….if it’s the rattle I’m thinking of it will go away with some oil (rattles only when closed right?)
