Coming home late this afternoon, We stopped at the our mailboxes and lo and behold, it fell out of the mail box. Here it is after unwrapping it.

The grind is a bit off and the nicks in the blade need touching up but she's a beauty. I thought the temper might have been ground out of the blade but I put a quick edge on it, went out to the dumpster, pulled a couple cardboard boxes out, and cut them up in pieces. The blade still remained relatively sharp and took a good edge when I sharpened it up when I got back in the house. Evidently, the temper is still good. Anyway, I cleaned it up a bit and it turns out the dark discoloration at the tip of the blade was just gunk and polished right out. I'll have a nice weekend project. I got it because it's a NO nail nick blade. Manufactured prior to 1976, Here it is after a quick going over and sharpening. The nicks in the blade will work out after a few more sharppenings.

The sheath is in great shape. Gave it a good going over with some saddle soap and it cleaned up great. I'm not going to shine up the knife - just leave it as is.

Old girls worked hard. I agree about not shinning her up but I would let Buck give her a new blade.

If I were to send it to Buck, they would replace the blade with one that has a nail nick and not return the old no nick blade. The whole point for me was to get the knife as it has no nail nick. I'll get along just fine with the blade. Those nicks in the blade will sharpen out over a few more sharpenings. The knife is solid. Locks up tight with absolutely no blade play in any direction. It was filled with gunk but I've flushed it and cleaned it and it's an A+ knife now - well, maybe a B at ;east as appearances go.

She's a beautiful old girl for sure, Ed. Really nice.

My first ZT - a 0990. Beautiful knife - feels nice, cool design, but I can’t flip it. It will absolutely not budge by my finger. I can pull it open (but not flip) by the thumb hole fairly easy, but the flipper tab is a no-go. Maybe it will loosen up with some fidgeting, but otherwise I really like it.

Really nice setup! Love the turntable. What speakers are you using?

Running GoldenEar Triton Reference Speakers...the fun part is each speaker has a built-in subwoofer power Amplifier running 1500W peak/750W RMS, DSP-Controlled. The neighbor across the street has mention that the glass in his dining room rattles...

And here's a couple better pics; the turntables are Harmon Kardon Rabco ST-7 with an ADC XLM cart and VPI Prime Scout with a BluePoint #2 cart. Using a BlueOS streaming server/music vault. And that's a MS6si.

My new Protech Emerson Tanto - I thought it was going to be a It is a prototype of 30. But 200 were made - originally was to be 30 which sold out in 34 seconds, then increased 130 which I missed out, but enough of us filled out the Google Doc to have them up the quantity again. Notice the cool chisel edge...

This is another one that Screebo Screebo and I conspired to buy together, and he sent me to the right place to get on the list in the first place. He gets all the credit for finding this one.

Then, there is the Kunwu Orion III in Vanax with Timascus clip and pivot collar. This feels very Shiro-Like in action and looks, and is among the sharpest knives from the factory that I've ever received.

The Kershaw Dividend is a nice assisted opener in Magnacut, to compliment my Dividend with compound N690/D2 blade.

And the final one is a new TRM Nerd Holey Magnacut in Ultem scales.
