New ZT sprint run #0452G10 with M390 steel, and a G10 scale. I think it's a great looking knife, but I wish they would have kept the CF scale even if the cost would have increased.

Killing me with these photos!
But thanks, gives me something to look forward to.

I'm really liking the no clip holes in the scale side though. Totally makes up for the G-10 vs carbon fiber IMO. Looks much cleaner.

I wish the original knife and ALL knives that use the same pivot had the blacked out version like on this knife. I'd have way more ZTs

Just picked up my Olamic Wayfarer 247 this afternoon. Really likin' this one.

The light was nice late this afternoon so I could get nicer pics than those dealer shots I posted on the previous page Saturday.

I just picked a new one up too, smaller than what I thought it would be. Debating on sending it back although I love my Poonfarer. The quality is there for sure, just not sure on the size.

Love that Harpoon Fatty. Sweet.

And.. this should be on the way..

I know what you mean about the size. I'm really a "bigger knife" guy, as I have trouble hanging on to small ones with my beat-up, thick old carpenter's mitts. I think the down-curve in the handle makes this one appear smaller than it is. Actually, the shape of the butt helps my grip as I can't close the last two fingers on my hand. I think the knife is more "compact" than it is small. My only issue with the grip is that the PVD stonewash is slicker than I'd expected. A little wear may solve that and the handle shape does nestle into my palm very well.

I almost pulled the trigger on the scalloped model and that would surely provide even better grip. With my "bigger is better" mentality, though, I'm already thinking about the full-size, 4" Wayfarer and contemplating having one of those built.

One of the last knives I had gotten at the flea market from the bottom of the $5 bin, a Precise Deerslayer Classic. This is a great work knife, reminiscent of Schrade's 51OT, it's got a great shape that just nestles into your hand. It's got a great belly and is a really good skinner.

I'm not sure what 440 they used but it's capable of taking a polished very fine razor edge and it has a great high flat grind, something that was rare back then for a folding skinner. The edge needs a little cleaning up but it's a great knife and if you're looking for an old school lockback to put on a belt sheath I'd highly recommend this one. It's a substantial knife and the over sized bird's eye pivot is overbuilt and looks so cool.

Some other things like about this knife are the brass liners, you could very easily add a pocket clip or even drill it out for a lanyard. There's also enough of the blade exposed to do a one hand pinch drop opening.

Not bad for a $5 knife. ;) :)

Received my M390 ZT0452 today!
I see ZT put a bit of a thinner grind on this one as opposed to my 0452CF S35VN.
I had to thin the S35VN blade behind the edge to make it a better slicer where the M390 blade is just right out of the box.
I stropped it for 2-3 minutes and it's pretty much perfect. Just about on par with my Ritter Grip M390 which has a thinner grind but not quite as slicey as my 3V Tuff with a REK regrind. That thing is insane.
I'm getting spoiled with all this great steel!

Couldn't take it any longer. Order the 452g10 also. I may swap the scales from the regular 452cf to the 452g10
