The black handle knives are made by Yaxell of Japan.

Yeah they are the Dragon Series by Yaxell. The handles are black linen micarta.
Have been trying to find the Ran Cleaver in Australia without success.
Can you recommend a dealer in the US that may ship internationally.
My other option is to use a freight forwarding company.

I don't know if they ship internationally but I have been buying them from Knivesshipfree and Knifecenter.
They are fine. I have no complains. They are half tang instead of full tang- more of a nit pick. They are pretty comfortable to use. The olive wood handles are naturally going to have differences as you see in the picture I posted. They are not too big and not too small. When looking for steak knives it was either between these or the Victorinox Rosewood Steak Knives.... You probably can't go wrong with either one.

It's a pretty solid choice for a budget Barlow. The main blade is the same shape as the old Camillus 51 pattern which is an all time classic IMO
