Everyone's latest acquisitions!

Seriously now, this is the last one for the year.

I also sent back to another company the Antonioni slip joint and a Fox Vulpis, so I will get a store credit and I have to Do some looking around for what to get.

Just found this at a gun show today. First Buck. Guess we'll see...

So I was opening and closing while headed home and I'm extremely disappointed. Haven't even tried to cut with it yet. Push the button and it won't fully deploy. Can hear what sounds like a grinding problem with the spring while opening and closing. It's a sad, sad day. 😞

I was reading up on New York State knife law last night, as a friend cannot order any one handed opening knives from the Big River site, which refuses to ship them. I was putting all kinds of knives in my shopping cart with his NY address; and out of 50 thumb stud or hole operated, or flipper activated manual knives, only the Terzoula ACTF lite was not blocked from shipping to NY. The knife is cheaper there than anywhere else, so a good thing; but some knives that are only available on the Big River site are unavailable to New Yorkers who can buy the rest from a myriad of other knife sites.

It seems that while you can legally carry under 4 inch blade on folding knives that are not automatic, spring assisted, or gravity assisted, that if you state that you carry it for “self-defense or protection“ then the police can deem that knife a “dangerous weapon” and arrest. They have prosecuted them too. The knife changes from being a legal tool to a dangerous weapon based on intent to do harm, even in self Defence. But apparently, if you do not intend to use it for self-defense, but get attacked and do use it without premeditation for self-defense, you have better legal standing.

But the laws in New York are so vague (and unconstitutional) that you theoretically could be prosecuted for carrying anything sharp.

Even the very clear law prohibiting automatic knives from most classes of people (not all, as there are exceptions), yet spring assist thumb stud operated knives have been grouped in with autos and prosecuted successfully, even though they don’t meet the description as described in the law (assisted knife is opened by manipulating a protrusion on the blade, not a button or mechanism in the handle, and should be legal).

I don’t care if I had family in New York or not, I would get the hell out of there, but that’s me.

Autos are legal for use while hunting and fishing!!!!!! I have a lifetime sportsmans license so I'm covered.....I'm always hunting😜!!!! NY shitty is a whole other ball of wax. Personally, I dont abide laws for thee and not for me.....I grew up here in the 70's & 80's........It was a mob town literally..... You take care of yourself and your business.
I don't want to get political, but I've lived in Central NY state since I was young man. Somethings are good, some not so good. Like anywhere I think. I just got back from Europe. That's a whole nother story.........
In 2019 NYS repealed the gravity knife ban.

Knives: What You Need to Know

On May 30, 2019, the New York State ban on gravity knives was repealed. As a result, the mere possession of a gravity knife is no longer a crime under the Penal Law. However, the mere possession of switchblades, pilum ballistic knives or metal knuckle knives still remains a misdemeanor under Penal Law § 265.01(1).
I carry a button lock flipper all the time, except in NYC, and don't sweat it.
My solution to the automatic issue is "on my way to or from fishing all the time". I think the license fee is $5.00 a year for seniors. Small price to pay. Pay online, print it out, good to go.
Oh yeah. The Runt 5 is one of my newest! I got it from a website in NYS, no problem with shipping. I do like it!
Odd but true. It's a loop hole. I'll take it.

Yeah Illinois is not for me. I was born in Texas, have that Texas mentality. Its ridiculous you need a special ID to own a gun, and you need that same ID to own and carry an automatic knife.

The new gun law restricts pistol mags to 15 rounds, and 10 in long guns. Most semi-auto rifles are banned, and any semi-auto shotgun that uses a detachable magazine. They also are requiring you register any of the "banned" weapons by Jan 1st. You can own them, but you can't buy them, and you must register them. I will not comply.

We have no cash bail for most crimes, all the way up to second degree murder.

I'm considering buying a condo in the Dallas area and splitting my time between there and here.
I'm really not into politics, however when the government starts forcing people to register guns after you've already owned them (and did the initial background check if bought from a store), that's a really scary thing... It's rare for the government to take back laws and get rid of them, however it's very common to add more laws on top of it..

A "P-less" P Model, very nice! I used to own one of those. It was made right after the H Model, which were the handmade by Chris Reeve ones. The P Models were the first production models, and were stamped with a P by the logo. However some came out without the P stamp, I think they were the first P Models that didn't have the P stamp, but I might be wrong on that last part. You probably already know all that, but just some random knowledge for others that are interested.
