Just found this at a gun show today. First Buck. Guess we'll see...
So I was opening and closing while headed home and I'm extremely disappointed. Haven't even tried to cut with it yet. Push the button and it won't fully deploy. Can hear what sounds like a grinding problem with the spring while opening and closing. It's a sad, sad day.![]()
Pretty sure it's a genuine buck 110 auto. However, I'm not sure how long it's just been sitting in the box. There is some patina on the brass (obvious fingerprints). While at the table, it fired perfectly 100% of the time. That 100% went to 0% on my way home. So I took it to work and used it. Razor sharp but never fully deployed. When I got home, I starting oiling it in spots. I believe it sat for a while because as I worked the oil in, the action got better and better but lots of black gunk started coming out in the excess oil. As I worked it, it went back to failing to fire so I added oil slowly and continued to work it. All is well now!One never truly knows how genuine gun show “finds” are.….I’ve been there. Nonetheless, it could well be a Buck. And one thing about that company, (in my experience) they stand behind their products. Suggest you contact them with your issue with the goal of sending it in for repair.
