I slipped a similar multitool into my Grandpa's coffin with him. He always had something of the sort on him when he was working on various stuff around the farm. I found the most current one that still had most of the blade (he used his bench grinder to sharpen em ) and made sure he has one to tinker with while he is in heaven.

My mother after confiscating it when delivered to our office, had told me she would pay for half of the knife. Well, she gave me money for the whole thing calling it a “Christmas bonus.” Woe.

The blade is Odin’s Eye Damasteel, absolutely stunning. Very good action I love the low profile flipper tab, and I’m sure it will be great after a little break in. And, in traditional K.O.D. style it went straight into my pocket. Excellent knife, well worth the 8 month wait.

After adding a little CLP 3n1 this thing is fantastic.

So my future step father came into town from Colorado today. He gave me a gift certificate to Spyderco. That means a few things:

1: I guess I’m not done buying knives
2: There’s a Spyderco in my future
3: The Spyderco website sells at MSRP, which means I’ll need to go back to Golden to use it because I ain’t paying MSRP. However, I’m going to Fort Collins in June for the wedding, so I guess I’ll make a stop there.

Nice one. I have the SR1 Lite in both tanto and clip point. I’ve contemplated adding the upscale version but the Lite version is already so good. These things are tanks

Your right, Mr. Polar. I bought my brother an SR1 last-year for Xmas, and he said it was a solid-blade. It was a toss-up between the SR1, and the ubiquitous Bush Ranger; which a number of forum members also; give high-marks.
