Everyone's latest acquisitions!

I went and did it ….. although I never did think I liked it ….but I got a Mora Eldris at a local hunting store near Ashland, Va, It felt good in the hand and I thought the blade would be good for cutting quick tasks, I previously thought the blade would be too small to be useful but the handle made it quite maneuverable. It was only 30 bucks compared to the 100+ for a Helle I was also looking at, and I knew my wife would kill me if I got another expensive knife. So for 2024 I want to use the Eldris and my other Moras to try a scandi plus see the value of more bang for my buck .

RugerNurse is correct. It's the GB2 BladeHQ exclusive. I debated about getting the G10/CF version instead, but decided if I didn't like the jade, I could always RIT dye it another color. There are some nice looking examples of others doing that.
Does yours have any lock stick? Mine has a bit. Its bearable but Im a perfectionist. If it doesnt go away I might disassemble mine and buff the lock-bar face and the face of the tang

Glenn,
How are you liking the new model Lamella?
Thanks, birdave.
It's a nice knife. Materials, quality, fit and finish are all great. Flipping action is good, blade does drop shut, and the detent is medium lite. Also, it's a good size with an almost 4-inch blade. The only downside is the ergonomics. Although there are no "hot spots", the curve of the handle seems more leaned toward style than function. Have not tried the pocket clip yet but, I usually like the ball arrangement.

Mail Call From Yesterday, Reate Tiger, It's Kinda Weird Have a Knife With No External Screws, It Has Great Sound Effects On Opening & Closing, Super Sweet Knife

I think you’re going to like the Eldris. I don’t carry mine but I have had one in my toolbox for about three years. Then I recently bought another one for my glovebox.

The one in my toolbox has seen a fair amount of use and every time I use it I am reminded of how much I like it. I want to make it an everyday carry but it’s just not suitable for that considering my personal EDC needs. Great little knife though.

I am looking at the holder by itself to slip around the sheath and use it on the belt, don’t really need the fire steel or chord to make it a neck knife.

I snapped up a Cold Steel Recon 1, clip-point, from an online vendor today. Seems like I was entitled to a birthday discount too. For some odd reason, I never acquired a Recon among all the Cold Steel I own. For many Cold Steelers, its their default folder. Much like the Voyagers, and American Lawman.

I think of you as Mr. Cold Steel around here, and the fact you've never tried a Recon 1 blows my mind! That said, you're going to love it!
