Everyone's latest acquisitions!

Just picked this up on the way home from work tonight. My first Hinderer. An XM-18 Stonewash Bronze Spearpoint. Fresh out of the box.

I emailed Tom @ Shiro and he mentioned that it was “Expo Quantum” when searching for a rebuild kit. He didn’t say what expo or what year, but the COA is late 2023. Since it looks an awful lot like the R1 Invitational Quantums (with the white Carbo) in January this year, I’m assuming it’s a three-bear production equivalent that was made at the same time. I snagged it second-hand from R1.

They called the inlays “Jungle Wear Carbon Fiber”.

He bought it out of my Recon1 shopping cart because I took too long to figure out what payment method I was going to use, and he knows it! 😭

That's why I get 1st dibs when he sells it 😝

I think they ended the colab with Clinton 4 some reason.

My guess is there will come a similar fixed blade, maybe in MC as u said.

I love mine, the perfect salty boat/fishing knife.
I have heard that too. Ive been using it in the kitchen. Its fantastic, kind of a mix between a boning, filet and paring knife. Interestingly the steel was shaving sharp and cut paper easily, yet when you test the edge with your thumb it doesn’t feel sharp. I hit the strop 20ish times per side and now it feels sharp and cuts paper with almost zero resistance and little noise. It now shaves so easily that you cant even feel the edge catching hairs. Its like your are running a smooth object down your arm and the hair is just missing!

If this LC200N stuff holds an edge similar to my kitchen knives, it may become my favorite steel. Never had a knife in it before this

Did I need it? No.

Have I had several of these over the years? Of course.

Can I pass on a good deal on a solid model, which I know is not the latest and greatest, and that I know just as well as everyone else I may never actually use hard because I have a lot of knives? Apparently not.
