I love blue, and I love micarta, so I had to grab one of these.View attachment 2503808

Beware - if you even lightly oil the pivot on these then it usually seeps up onto the micarta from the inside, and the whole front half will get dark. You'll need soapy water to get the color back. I have seen pics of these new on dealer websites that look oily.

The first 2 pics below are June 23 2023 NIB from the factory. The next two are Jan 30 2024, after the sat for 6 months in the box. The last two are after soapy water Jan 30 2024.

I had this same issue with denim micarta. I actually like the darker color, but when it dries it is uneven. Dawn dish soap and water got it back to new. They were for an S90V PM2 I gave a friend.

Thanks for the heads up. I did just disassemble it to make sure there was no factory crud inside and gave each bearing a drop of oil. I'll keep an eye on it. But it's easy to clean and on some knives I actually oil the micarta on purpose as it sometimes improves the color.
