Everything Lefties thread

I am a lefty from Germany who likes to say hello.

I buy, collect and carry knives since 2008, so I own a lot of knives. Many of them are right handed knives with the clip swapped to the left hand configuration. Furthermore, there are plenty of ambi knives and all the dedicated left hand knives from the well known manifacturers (CRK, Spyderco).

A few months ago, I was able to acquire a lefty Vero Axon.

And suddenly Hinderer is selling left handed knives, too. Which is really great. Does anyone know if some knives will make it here to Germany or Europe? I'd like to buy one.

Congrats on the Vero. It's such a good design for EDC and very well made.
I can't recommend the lefty Hinderer enough. I have been carrying it constantly since I got mine. Absolutely worth the money!

Spyderco makes a lefty PM2 and Military. They may be available in the EU
Also, there is the Shirogorov lefty Neon Zero.
Kizer has 3, but I don't know about their availability.

Like I said before, if they make anything (not California focused) left handed, I will buy it.

Vero has said he's not done, and will make leftys of at least one other model.
Hinderer has also hinted at it, and definitely said he will be making some extra lefty scales for the xm-18.
Kizer has mentioned it in the past, but there hasn't been a peep about it since pre-covid.
Betech randomly drops leftys of some their models.
I think that's about the extent of my knowledge, regarding any "news" so to speak
Anybody have more to add?

Pro-Tech has been receptive to requests regarding what leftys are looking for (Malibu mostly). So we need to keep an eye on them.
I really dig the new Pro-Tech coming out and may buy one. Even though it's illegal to carry in my state.

I own every lefty model Spyderco has made.

The Axon is really good except the detent is a little bit too weak. I guess it is tuned for front flipping, which I personally do not really like.

I am crossing my fingers that some XM-18s will make it over here.

So it happens. Shirogorov has just announced the left hand veision of the F95! They sell them through a well known US-dealer for Shiros.

I am sitting here, still waiting for any lefty Hinderers to come to Europe and the guys from east of Europe sell exclusively in the US. Gnarf. Frankly, that is disappointing.

If you can grab any "photographic evidence": we'd love to see it!
I found out last night that Olamic does not make a lefty version of the Wayfarer 247...

So far all the left handed Hinderer knives have been sold directly from the Hinderer website. I would sign up for notifications on the website for the knife if you’re interested in and you’ll get an email when they’re in stock.

Thanks for the indication.
The problem is that importing knives from the US here to Germany adds a lof of money. With shipping, taxes and custom duties, you can easily add 30% to the price.
I want an XM-18. I am not sure if I want it that badly.

I’m glad it sold out. I was having a moment of insanity when I was actually considering buying it.

Good news! Olamic WILL build you a full-on lefty-Busker!
The build time is a bit longer than their normal timeframe; but they're worth the wait!
I've got them nailing one together for me right now...

Good to know. Any idea if they will do other models left handed?

I just got a lefty xm-18. Its my first lefty framelock and the oddest part is how natural it feels to disengage with my right hand. Afterall, ive been doing that with my left hand in all frame (and liner) locks for as long as i remember.

I've got some left handed contraceptives if you're interested...

They do, but I don't remember off the top of my head and deleted the response. Just email and they will give you all the details as they are a little different than their right handed models.

X 2... The Left-handed Busker uses 204P steel, and has a reconfigured flipper tab.
