Exchange Forum Scam Concern

Wow. Here is the explanation:

I sold 4 knives to a particular buyer (he chose to identify himself, I did not identify him). The box was scheduled to be delivered by Saturday. For some reason it had been delayed. The buyer sent me a picture of an orange handled knife wrapped up just like one of the knives I sent him. He stated it came in a box from me. It turned out not to be the box from me, it was some other knife from some other person that sold him a knife. He had lost track of his shipments and could not use tracking numbers posted on the box or the return label to figure it out himself. From my perspective he was accusing me of only sending one knife, especially since the photograph looked like one of the knives I sent. This part was the misunderstanding. I acted quickly and posted on the forums to get advice just in case I was being scammed. The buyer THEN realized this was not the knife he had bought from me but rather a knife purchased from somebody else. I then posted my second post regarding the mental competency of the buyer. It was mean and I should not have said it though it felt appropriate given how much this guy had made me freak out.

EDIT: For the record I do have the USPS receipt with the box dimensions, weight and insured amount which I can provide.

Kxal:
The "disagreement" you are referring to was caused by you not disclosing you were an international buyer and before you could confirm it was OK to get through customs, a local person made an offer. I had not accepted his offer or even given him my PayPal. He is just bitter somebody else got the knife first. Welcome to the trough...

I did mentioned I was an international buyer in my first response in my pm. Please do not twist the fact.

I asked for your PayPal but you refused to give me and also did not put me in a queue before I could get back to you. Hence the disagreement with you on the logic of reservation.

After your pm I respectfully remove my comment in your sale thread and kept it neutral for you.

I only mentioned I had disagreement with you in this thread due to our reservation definition hence so stop calling people being bitter or idiot.

i send message to ask you if that knife is one of those four ,just want to cofirm that the package you send to me is well, cause it looks like it so much.
Not means lie to you.
You should give buyer more trust,my friend.

ruckisha, stop buying so many knives: you can't keep track of em all coming in. Take a few months off:cool::p
Sounds like an honest mistake, just overwhelmed

And one of the reasons I will only sell to someone CONUS, with a few exceptions.
Trade with suspicion. It's very hurtful. I bought a lot of BUSSE. in BF and their deals were very enjoyable.
Whether American or chinese. Have the power to pursue the love of BUSSE.

wow...I'm just now imagining the the dance I would do if I had so many Busse's arriving that I couldn't keep track. It would be silly. Glad you guys are working it out.

Seems this thread should be in the GBU, not Busse. 90% of my international sales were fine, but the 10% made the 90% not worth it.

For what's it's worth, I have had several transactions with Ruckizsha and every one was trouble free. As a buyer and a seller, communication is paramount. Anytime I send or receive money I message the person. I respond as soon as it's boxed and then again once it's shipped with tracking info (I'll message the buyer before I even leave the post office parking lot). Maybe I communicate too much, but being on the buying end I always feel more comfortable with clear communication.

As this has been raised, I'll ask.

What's so special about the CON part of CONUS? AK and HI...we're part of the same :censored:ing country. No customs forms. No international tracking issues. Same cost to ship via USPS flat rate priority with the same 70lbs max weight limit.

It's just so annoying to frequently see "CONUS only!" when the headaches the sellers are trying to avoid can be avoided by "US only!" Everyone has the right to say "I'll only ship to CA, MA, VA, and these three post codes in Siberia!" but it doesn't make a bit of sense.

/rant over ;)

Haha point taken, I have made a point the last year to mark it "shipping to the US only"... can't exclude the Island and Artic Hogs
