Holy Big Honkin' Motor Batman!!

Wow! a nice setup. I love that big motor...184 Frame? 3hp? 5hp?

Speed? 1725 , 3450.

Yep...that's a very serious setup. I love it!!

=Rob,
First let me say what a great product and although I didn't win your economic stimulus give-away I've been stimulating the hell out of it anyway, LOL. The motor is a Grizzly (Reliance electric) 3hp tefc 1750 RPM (don't know if it's true but I went 1750 hoping for longer motor and bearing life) and yes it is 184 sized motor. Drive is a Teco FM50 3HP. My pulley ratio is 6.5" on the motor and 2.8" on the drive shaft which should make up for the loss of 100RPM's compared with a 3600 RPM motor and a 1 to 1 pulley ratio.
Thanks for being so forthright with info reguarding folks doing their own motor VFD and pulley setups. Reading all of your answers to others questions is how I made a decision on what exact parts to combine for this setup. Even though I never talked with you personally you were a great help in getting this machine set up, so thank you for your time and effort helping folks here on bladeforms. :D:D:D

Here it is all said and done. The only thing left to do is learn how to use it properly !
