Warning! Existance is a scammer!!
I sent him/her a knife in trade and never received mine in return.
I have been in contact with other members who have had the same experience.
He fed me a line of BS about why he couldn't send it right away, after i sent my end. Communication was good, but then he got his knife and I haven't got mine yet. He said he sent it over a week ago, and I haven't had an email from him since Aug 30th.
Has anyone else had problems with him?
And is there anything I can do to deal with him besides warm the BF community?
Can I post his shipping address so others know not to deal with him if he comes back on another SN?

No he is in Pennsylvania. I sent him a knife as well in trade and have not received anything from him. I am still waiting. It is possible that he sent it regular mail and it has not gotten here yet but I am getting doubtful. His name is Ethan. I had his phone number and address in my visitor messages but I deleted them for his privacy and now wish I hadn't.

Would it be helpful to others if I did post his shipping info? No it was not in international deal. So no Saudi Scammer here.
 
He left his phone number as a visitor message and then I deleted it. I spoke to him twice. His number should be on my telephone bill. If the knife doesn't show up on Tuesday then I will look for it and send it to you.

This is what info I have on him, he sent me an offer once, but then just stopped emailing me, I never shipped him anything, but it was just strange.
I noticed he didn't have any feedback until that one negative he recieved by the guy who started this post. But everyone on BF should never "same-day-ship" with any member that has zero feedback, you are taking a major risk in doing so. Make them ship first, hey, they must earn their way in just like we did, we all had zeros at first and had to earn our fellow member's trust. All the new guys should have to also.. So once they finally do get that first positive feedback, thats like their initiation or right of passage so to speak.. Make them earn it I say... Out of 50 or so tranactions I've had on BF, I have only been cheated once and it was by a guy with NO feedback, so I learned my lesson just like you did, "The Hard Way"...

VERY strange. His profile is filled out, lots of detail, which we don't usually see with scammers.
I'm going to email him and ask if he can check out this thread and explain what's up.

I am sorry guys. I am not a scammer as hard as it is to believe. Alot of shit has hit the fan in the last few weeks, and it is my responsibility to deal with them. Legal problems, family deaths, extreme money problems, and fiance problems. I am completly broke and don't have the money to ship these knives. I have them and I want you guys to get them, I am a decent guy I like to think, but shit is hitting the fan with me lately. I apologize, and understand the negative feedback, it is rightly deserved, and I ask no sympathy. Once again, when I get some money together, I will ship the knives out. Hopefully this message can help any doubters to understand I am not a spammer.

Let's see, this all happens within a period of a few weeks but you wait until you are called out?

Call me a cynical scumbag but I have read more bullshiit from folks (19 year old folks) who engage in a trade then cannot ship their end. Five freaking dollars to mail out a knife priority $2.00 to just ship them first class??????? Why trade, you should be selling and not trading!!!!

On 08-24 you were still trying to wheel and deal so if all this crap has been going on for "weeks" you were still actively trading during this shiitstorm (ALLEGED shiitstorm)

Why not E-mail the losing end of your dilemna WEEKS AGO and explain it?? I bet the shipping cost would have been covered ASAP.

I bet if you had asked WEEKS AGO when this all started there would have been offers from knifeknuts like me to help defray the costs of overnight shipping. Death, legal issues and family problems and you have time to play knife collector???

Legal problems, and family issues are not acute events like death. If these were lurking why not tell the folks you will be dealing with PRIOR??

I know, I know, I know.............You wanted their knife and are selfish (for now). If you do not make good ASAP then you go from selfish to SCAMMER in my book............

If that is the truth, which i doubt it is. Then you should have told me to begin with. And not lied to me when you said that the knife shipped more than a week ago. If your not a worthless piece of crap scum bag, why did you tell me that? Is this how we have to communicate now? No more emails?
Anyway, Ethan, you know what the right thing to do is. And since this is all public now I hope you at least attempt to make things right for your own sake, as a member of this community.

First stage, is the excuse stage which has been reached, remember; '"man, I am sorry but in the last few weeks my dog died, my Mom threw me out (under 21 age group comment) after finding out my girlfriend is pregnant, blah, blah, blah". Then there is stage 1A; "I am broke but somehow I will get the knives I told you 11 times had shipped at 11 different dates to REALLY ship, blah, blah.

Now Chris, you still must believe this scamm, I mean trader and just wait for stage 2. Here on/at stage 2 this takes place and puts this deal in perspective. You will see the scamma, I mean trader post BUT it will not be him. It will be Marsha, his mother, Girlie his girlfriend, gertrude the Grandma, Wilma the wife, or since this is 2009 it could be Howie the homosexual knife collecting lusty lover who will advise of the terrible crash, the serious MRSA infection, the butt-rape at the mall, blah b lah but the knives have yet to ship................

Yes, there are stages, and we seem to be skipping a few. From outrage to unrestrained vulgarity. What do you all want, the excitement of the chase, hunting down and tearing apart your prey?

Who are you all anyway? The principals have reason to publicize the problem and expect an answer. They just got one. An immediate rejection of that answer seems counter-productive. Cursing out the miscreant is no way to encourage him to pay up.

So those without an actual stake in these transactions might back off, and see what the next real stage is: when he might send the knives he owes. Telling him that even if he does send them, he's a POS is one way to make sure he won't bother. Thanks for your help. :rolleyes:
 
Ok then. No sympathy. To hell with that BS you just posted ship the knives COD at the least and make no more excuses. Better to owe the guys you traded $5 than a knife you didn't send them. You have a responsibility to fulfill your end of the deal so now do it no ifs ands or butts about it, shit hitting the fan or not! Shit happens to all of us but its no excuse for screwing folks out of a deal you arranged and then didn't follow through on. Stick the damn things in the mail making the return address the same address you mailed it to and be guilty of not paying to have it shipped if nothing else. The mail has to send it back to the return address by law so either way the guy thats supposed to get it gets it he just has a postage due when it arrives!

Of course arrange this with the guys getting the knives first but you have no excuse for sitting on them because there are ways to get them to their destination if you really ever intended to do that at all.
