Eyyyyyy--I designed this axe!

I have a million and one big ideas. Capital is the only thing that stops them from being realized by my own hand sooner, and NDA is the only thing that keeps ideas from being shared ahead of release. If you like the design, feel free to write the folks at WOOX and ask for more from me! I'd love to design more axes for them, but also knives, choppers, etc.

Haven't been on BF for a looong time but just lurking around today, I had to log in to comment on this axe. Well done, man. I know this is a year old but I'm excited for you. The axe looks fantastic and I'll be saving up for one.

I just managed to order one from one of my local retailers. I sure am excited about it. Will come back to talk to no end about how it performs. Beautifully, I'm sure. It's a marvelous piece of engineering. I was actually on the hunt for a light Rinaldi through mount cutting hatchet. When the Forte popped up in the search results I could barely believe my eyes. I had given up on it. Only con is the weight but the difference to "sans poll" hatchets of equivalent size is negligible to me.

I too am just lurking arround and have to say that is s very nice axe. You are going to get me as addicted to axes as I am to knives!!! Love the design.

I got it yesterday ! Not disappointed, it's a very fine axe. Excellent finish. Now, I have to take it to some work ! Weight alone leads me to wager it will split very well. Rather thin blade, it will cut. Heavy poll, it will hammer stakes all right with no risk of eye deformation. I'm really eager to give it a run !

I like Baronyx products. Very unique stuff that I have not found anywhere else. I use his kingfisher machete to cut up guttering.

They could really use your input, and I hope they will ! The sheath that came (bought...) with my Forte axe is a total joke, by the way. Jeez, when I compare to the sheathes Condor issues with their knives, machetes, axes and stuff. Exceptional !

While I've found it to be less than ideal, I personally consider it serviceable. It may be weltless but it has enough rivets for a mask of its type and the leather is within the range of "good enough". I feel it could be better, but it's also still nicer than the masks that a lot of companies supply with their axes. The ones Ochsenkopf supplies with most of their axes is probably the most pathetic I've seen.

I'm fairly sure that Prandi or whoever Prandi contracts out to (if not done in-house) is doing the sheath work for WOOX. I do plan on proposing a different sheath design to them when I get the chance to draft one out.

Thanks for showing that Ochsenkopf sheath. I feel less irritated by my Woox sheath ! I'm sure the one you will design will make sense.

You probably know about them already but Helko Werk makes some fine looking axes. The sheathes / masks, meh...
