F-16 Specs And Pricing. . . . PLUS An Amazing Discount & Nuclear Option Coming Wed. June 17, 2020

I mean in the end value is in the eye of the beholder right. The micarta options arn't normal from my experience, and I was more in for the rounded corners. But agree to disagree on the nuked value haha

Cheers! :D
Don’t all options have the rounded corners? Is it really worth $75 for scrap pieces when Busse could just order the micarta and G10 material any day of the week?

your right :oops: , yea I guess 'nuked perimeters' were standard! (looked back, this was reiterated so many times) n I love the stock micarta, but I was willing to roll the dice personally. I get wanting it to be exactly as you want too though, and if its micarta its indisputably cheaper

I know Busse knives plenty well and I can tell you that most have been offered at base prices. Just because they are rifling through the end cuts (scraps) from a ways back, doesn’t make black paper worth any more to anyone. Same with the other options. This feels like charging people for end cuts or leftovers and marketing them as rare. They are not rare. There’s absolutely no $75 value and DEFINITELY no $150 value either.

Black Paper is worth more to me than any of the other options because that's what I really want. I didn't order the Nuclear Option because none of the G10 options are worth an extra $75 to me. If I could have been guaranteed one of the micarta options or "Unknown?," I would have gone for it. Black Paper's the only micarta option that I remember as having regularly been offered as a no additional cost option, and I would have been happy to pay extra to get that to match my AK47, Ruck, Butaniku, and Gladius.

I marked your word sir in case someone got a black paper micarta and would like a trade

Went in for nuclear comp, surprised to see they are still up on the website though as of this morning... figured I would have already missed it last night when I forgot to check at 9. I was in bed about to fall asleep when I remembered at 9:30 and ran to the office to order... guess we got a LOT of scared little piglets hanging around these parts right no... LOL.

I'm surprised that the Nuke option in both CF and Coated are still available on the website!

I'm in for the gamble.. hoping for something unique and surprising from the "unknown" section.

I feel like if I really didn't like it, AND couldn't trade it with someone who does, hand shaped G-10 or Micarta options can always be retrofitted at a later time. Then I can buy or request whatever material to my exact liking.

Beauty and value are both in the eye (or wallet) of the beholder... Some may really want, or hate, Ivory G-10 or paper mic... That's why I love this Busse family/community! People are always open to reasonable trading and make sure both parties end up better off.

Pork relapsing hard on this one..went back and got a coated and comp, Sterile users.

People aren't realizing the base prices on these are 50 and 70 bucks off already. Once these are gone, future comp runs are going up to the Nuked price anyway.
My only gripe is I wish the nuked flats were polished or Light brigade treatment. Oh well maybe she'll show up in a future ganzaa and be mine:rolleyes:, but Lord knows she won't be cheap.

Curious to know how many of these Nuclear goodies some people have ordered just to give themselves a better odd in the handle lotto, LOL. It seems if you order 3-4 of them you'd have a pretty solid chance at guaranteeing you'd end up with at least one nice micarta or G-10 piece... depending on which of those two camps you found yourself in.

I am really tempted to place an order for a Nuke but that means selling off other knives. I'll be happy with my Forest green and green micarta combo.

I grabbed a comp nuke version last night, but now I'm second-guessing myself. The nuclear options were always well worth it to me in the past, but I really don't know that I see the value here this time. Sure a random handle has the cool factor, but that is actually more of a risk than a draw. Polished tubes do not seem like they are worth a $75 upcharge to me personally, but to each their own obviously. I need to figure this out while I still have time to change. Hmmm

Was considering a while, since I do not like the rounded perimeter. But the F-16 is just too cool....
So I ordered a non-nuked CF (at a nuked one the risk is too high to get a handle I do not want.)

I have a good feeling about this, I think this is going to be one of those designs that's going to become very sought after, I could be wrong, but I doubt it.

I am very excited about this, appreciate the CS logo, and looking forward to the unknown handles and polished tubes, but I do agree that I was hoping the nuclear option would offer something else that elevates a NUCLEAR version, or sets it aside, from a standard version.... (Different shaped pommel? Different length Fuller? Jerry and/or Garth and/or Amy's laser engraved signatures/logos/doodles? I dunno... I'm sure the Busse team can dream of something cool :cool:) It doesn't have to be something that necessarily costs Busse more in producing the blades (CS vs standard logo is a great example), but something that makes it more unique, besides the handle material.

But I also want to recognize and give credit that having the Fuller and Meltdown treatment offered as standard is pretty awesome, as is. So I'm in no way complaining, and I gladly bought into the gamble... just discussing the perception of value, or maybe more of a wish...

Nuked Comp ordered. I hesitated last night, woke up and saw they’re still available and went for it. This feeling reminds me of the Christmas Eve as a child. Will I get a purple and green Barney or a ivory and gold Pimp edition. I’m normally a satin and black guy. Paper, canvas, g10, I love them all. I’ve paid retarted amounts for all of them on secondary markets. I’m a small pork lover. Huge Active Duty fan. This big bitch spoke to me in my sleep. “Wake up and buy me”. My fingers are crossed. This release was fun. Thank you Mr. Busse.

I just ordered mine as well. Comp finish with orange and black G-10. And the sheath in brown as well. Tried to resist, but it was futile.
