F1 Survival vs. RC-4

congrats :) how does the blank differ from the original (other than it has no scales)?

thanks

The blade blank that I have and TWBryan showed above has pretty much the same profile as the Thermorun handle with the exception of the extended area at the butt end. Because the Thermorun handle completely encloses the tang (with the exception of the butt end) the tang is a little bit smaller in each direction. It also has a different lanyard hole position and holes for bolts, tubes or pins.

Both are great knives. The F-1 has a more comfortable handle, For my hand anyway.

Sorry I missed this as I have been off line - buying a cycling business on top of my day job.
If you want to see an S1 and WM1 as well, plus several flavours of sheath and are prepared to come to Southbank - let me know.

For remote camping I would go out to Warrigal Trafalgar and just head North towards the Mountains. Far fewer people in the foothils there not sure why

Warrigal
F1 vs S1 you mentioned this some time ago as well.

Why do Ozzies prefer the S1?
I have both and frankly would be torn between choosing which would be my favourite. The F1 is so practical and easy to carry. Somehow the S1 jsut resonates though and can be swung to a degree.

I'm in St Kilda so Southbank is a doddle to get to. Do you have a shop? Bonus time should be just around the corner! I've had a lot of trouble finding quality shops that stock knives so have had online only purchases thus far.

Sounds like a great option re foothills near Warrigal. I'll check it out!
