Factory waved Endura - owned!

Along with the Waved Endura, how about putting a pointed Waved blade on the 93 mm Rescue handle?

And basic black for the color please.

If we did continue, we'd have to use the newer version of the Endura and probably a different color handle. We wouldn't want to hurt the collectability of the original collaboraton.

I think a waved Military would be a hit with some.

A knife has to be tip-up carry for the wave to work. The Military is tip-down only.

I think the Wave works better with a more compact knife, but of course the Millie could have its clip placed at the butt if it got a Wave. You can get most of your tip-down knives drilled for tip-up carry, as long as the handle slabs will support the new screw placement, like if they go into a steel liner instead of simply into Zytel.

How about a Waved CUDA Maxx? Oh, wait, the flippers act like a Wave already ... so some guys have drilled it for tip-up. Guess what? You have to be VERY careful when you Wave a big blade open!

I think the Manix or especially the Chinooks are awesome self-defense knives, and the Wave would seem to play into that, but be sure you can handle the ergonomics of that size and weight. Do you really value speed over control?

Wouldn't just about ANY Spyderco be a simple DIY "Wave?"
Grind a bit off the spine and into the front of the hole, round the edges, and ....presto..... Wave.

Course you would lose the FULL hole, but the spud should open any of them wouldn't it?

Is this too simple? Sorry.

 :D

Thanx for the comments. We always appreciate feedback, good or bad.

We are getting good response on the piece from ELUs, which is what really counts.

We have had a number of requests from our distributors and dealers (USA & abroad) to make it a regular part of the line, even add models. It is my understanding that Ernest would not object (we'll check with him to be sure) to continuing the collaboration.
I just ordered a new knife. After, I told my wife I wouldn't buy another one until the end of summer. Since the original 500 will be long gone by then, PLEASE make more! Black handles work for me.

Is there truth to the rumor that the Wave is integrated with no licensing fees due Emerson as a trade for Emerson having been using the Spyderco-invented pocket clip for so many years?

The attached thumbnail is the best I can do.

Ritt has some much better pictures here .

Nobody wants to post pics of their waved Endura?
Ummm... how´s this? Crappy, but you get the point. We 25 owners put all our enduras on one table.

Hi Boink.

Spyderco is paying Emerson Knives a royalty for the use of their "wave" invention.
