sup guys, tonight is my friday so I can stay up till the break of dawn and play with knives. woop woop! Today at work a customer gave me a starret straight edge and told me "this should be some good metal to make a knife out of" this thing is 36" long 2.5" wide and 1/4" thick .I am trying to find out what kind of steel it is.If it works out it will be awesome!!! If not I can still sell it and buy a good chunk of steel to make something nice out of. I love getting tips!!!!chocolate ice cream with chocolate syrup for dinner tonight oooooooooooo yea. If I ever stop riding my bike I would blow up like a balloon!

Nice! Keep that Starret straight edge, it is probably a non hardenable stainless (just a guess) but it is a Starret, lol that ruler probebly cost a fortune!

EDIT - it's worthless, let me send you some 1095 for it! (I found like it for a measly $284 it's worthless I swear!)

For steel - call Aldo it is the way to go, get his 1084 it is killer stuff. He has an online site but is always fun to talk to.
USAknifemaker has all you need as well, good people too, I avoid Jantz though they have everything but the service...
Pops for belts, he is a great guy too

Cool stuff, keep it up! I want to see a knife here in the next few months! :D

Morning y'all. Been up since about 0430 this morning. My boy woke up, got out of bed, and started rummaging through his toy box, found something and went back to bed! I watched this happen from his doorway and was like :confused:

Anyways, going to get some work done on my mini today, maybe I can coax Kevin to come play in the shop, but he's a neanderthal, he doesn't have a phone...I think the only reason he has a computer is because the fire marshal said he couldn't do smoke signal from his living room anymore. I might have a rams horn I can try blowing to see if he'll answer that, though...:D

Evening men.Just getting home from being gone since 0730 this morning. Long day.My Nephew is driving up here tomorrow to visit with us for 3 or 4 days!Will be a great visit and my son will be home from the academy on Saturday!

Peaceful here in the hills.
Watched sunset from the deck....Had venison summer sausage & extra sharp cheddar on stone ground wheat crackers, with just a dot of shirachi sauce....and ice cold Yuenglings....then fresh-picked strawberries in vanilla yogurt.
Now she's at the kitchen table, working on upgrading her resume....Sajiko the Pug & I will be horizontal soon.....checking our eyelids for cracks.
Contented.

Wow that is funny, where do you find this stuff! :D

I may add some font and make some stickers with that! That even looks like where I live. Lol Bear Creek Canyon is the name.

I'm hoping to make some stickers/shirts/gear here soon, I found a really good deal on shirts recently. I need to extract a photo, I have a poon tip pic that is looking cool in "one color."
