Morning everyone! We have snow here, lots of it! Cold...

I was working on a top secret project last night, that is all.

I can't believe all this snow, I'm hoping to have the building guy come look at the site I cleared sometime soon. :D lol not today!

I'm going to crank up the kiln and use it as a handwarmer!!! :D :D :D Ok not really...

Yes it is, I'm hoping for a warmer winter. The mullein plants were short this year and they say the snow will usually get as deep or more. The year we got 20 feet they were 10 feet tall and as big around as my fist, this year they were only a few feet tall. Lol I'm not counting on much based off of that though! I'm scrambling to get the shop built and ready for winter. The sooner the better!

We have 4+ inches of snow already! Time to bust out the plow soon.

I have been heat treating today... Hopefully more handle shaping and glue up later.
 
Dan even though you guy's get a lot of snow I would love to live out there! You have all the best hunting.Elk,mule deer,white tail,black bears and pronghorns. I would be gone from home all the time. I'm not even going to go into the fishing out there.

I have all that on my property besides the pronghorns, at least I haven't seen one yet. I have a game trail about 150 feet from my house and it gets a lot of traffic. We have huge elk herds that come through at night and it looks like a road at times. At the moment it looks like everything has taken off for the most part, the animals probably move further south here as it is much warmer... we have desert 10 miles south.

The rock collecting here is good too, I used to sell rough minerals I collected for a living. I need to make it down to the desert one more time, we found some nice jasper last time. I usually do some hard rock mining as well and collect a few tons each year, I took this summer off to make more knives! We did find a little bit of cuttable jet black petrified wood, it is nice gem quality material.

I have been in the shop most of the day today and am going back out in a second, it has been a productive day.
 
Back in, tempering knives. I have a couple of 5160 knives going... .360 tanto will be available soon. I have one for myself as well. I pretty much never keep one but this prototype is for me. I am beyond excited about it...

I've been working on the Havok, the 3" legal proto for a fundraiser and a S7 "Tanto" with black paper scales. I worked on the grinds and flats some more and beveled the ende of the scales for glue-up. The Havok has some killer crypto/stall mat scales... they glow and are looking very nice! the 3" legal edc has some nice black/grey scales and the S7 tanto as I mentioned with black matte paper micarta, it is ultra light and fast. After glue-up I will get back on the Ti knives I profiled with orders as well as the edc proto run!
 
Daniel you sure are making a lot of people happy with all them knives going out!I know this is controversial but I would rather have my Fairly knife than a Busse. I have owned a few,I just feel my knife was designed by me to fit my purpose and it is everything I wanted. Off to take my daughter back to school today.We have had her home since Wednesday.

Morning men.Daniel you talk about having elk out there I may have to make a trip out one year with my bow. Hope you don,t mind I have been calling my knife from you the bigcountry survival knife.I can not wait to get out and put it through its paces which I already know it will pass with flying colors.I love how thick it is I have 2 Bill Siegle knives that are 5/16 thick and my .36 makes them look thin.
 
Good morning guys, I am getting some coffee in me and getting my phone line repaired. We got more snow again last night and everything is covered in snow.

I'm getting the legal edc glued up today, probably more... I have about 10 more packages to go out so I'm in the mailroom this morning, lol.

Than back to my edc run! 2 black glows and orange/black G10! 3 in camo also... mcam, black/grey/tan and forest/od/jade3 green.

After this round I have a few Ti knives to make for older orders, Thanks for waiting if you know who you are. Ti backpacker with cord wrap and 7" Ti necker with black red wrap... I will have an extra of each as well.
