Morning men. Daniel I know how you feel about snow removal.I use to call it my second job.Now with my spinal injury I have to hire some one to plow my drive way. That really sucks when I have a $1000 snow blower in the garage.

Morning Mike! Yeah snow removal can get out of control. I used to shovel roofs for people. Luckily with all the snow my heater isn't running as much, that's good because it is -2 out right now! I have a plow too but I like to blow the snow away especially this early in the year, with an average of 15' a year the road gets narrow quick!

So I won't bitch about the recent Monsoon here....4" rain/day X 3 days. Clear,so far today.

7 day Muzzleloader season opens this Sat., and I'm off work & off-call until Weds.

Rifle season was a washout,here.....One decent day to hunt,outta 7,but I was @ work.

Other 6 days was either Monsoon rains or 25+ mph sustained winds....and due to damage from that ice storm, we still have too many widowmakers to go in the woods when it's that windy.

Most of Cottonmouth Swamp is semi-flooded.....hope the water level drops a lil more.

47th consecutive season of deer hunting with my B'rers! Wish us luck.

Best of luck to you. Rifle season is over in MT and for the first time in 43 years, my dad didn't fill his elk and deer tags. My mom, two uncles and a cousin also didn't. Worst season ever. Lots of wolf tracks though.

So far not much snow there this year. And yesterday was a mild 20F. Twelve days until I hit the road to visit. :) can't wait to take a few Fairlys back to the Rockies.

Afternoon everyone, went to the eye doc this morning. He's going to do cataract surgery on Dec.20th.
Man, I'm glad he didn't want to wait 6 months or something like that. I'll be glad to be able to see clear again.

Best of luck with everything! I bet it will feel great to be able to see clearly after cataracts!

Yeah, it developed quick, in about 6 months. At 45 years old, I'm kinda young for cataract. Surprised my
eye doctors a little.

Morning men.Today marks 70 years since the Japanese attacked Pearl Harbor! Remember our service men and women.Freedom is not free!

Morning men.Daniel the snow has hit us to stay now. At least it held off for an extra month this year. Will probably be a blizzard when I have to go to Marquette to bring my daughter home for Christmas break. They make them move almost all of their stuff out for break. They have been getting hammered with snow.I sure am glad I gave her my Jeep Liberty so that she has 4 wheel drive. Most of the roads in Marquette are very steep hills.

Good morning.

It was nice to have the snow lay off but you are right, it is here to stay. I already have about 18" of accumulation. I really should have had my shop started sooner but I have been trying for a while now! Cool you are having your daughter in for break. That Jeep is important for safety! My driveway is very steep and at least once a year I forget to put my truck in "4 low" for engine braking and nearly lose it! I do love my 4runner though, everyone else has to run chains right now to make it up our road... I think 4runners have locked hubs in 4 and it plows through anything! :D

Morning......hate to torture you 2, but it's a sweltering 37 degrees here. Just saw a deer out back. Young one, not a
big monster. There are a lot of deer around here, but they are small compared to the ones north of here.

Very cool! The deer are gone for winter now at my place but so are the bears! It is super quiet here. 37! That's almost hot! :D

I was grinding kydex yesterday in 6 degrees, it is some tough stuff... I was worried about cracking but it stayed rock solid and ground better than ever!

Sunny, somewhat chilly, with the third day of pneumonia,here....they warned us before Mom passed last week: the Nursing Home was under quarantine.

My two B'rers & I smiled @ the nice lady, and asked her to please step back from the door! or we'll make this main entrance a drive-thru.

She understood, and got out of the way.

At least we got to spend some extra quality time with Mom, the whole family ignored quarantine and was there; we held hands around her bed & had prayer....she was lucid until the last hour, then drifted off to be with Dad.

Only 3 of us got sick, but none of us can complain....it was worth it.

Man, that is about as tough as it gets. I am sorry to hear about your mother and wish you the very best. We will be thinking about you.

Pneumonia, jeez that is tough, get well soon. I'm trying to shake off a cold at the moment, I think the nasty weather has been too much.

You have had a really rough week and I hope things get better soon for you.

Morning, and thanx! for the kind thoughts.

COFFEE!

Glad you got wood!

Update after sipping coffee: what I meant was: Glad they were able to deliver your lumber.
