I'm with ya on the single six, good little guns. I'm more of a rifle fan though. Gimme a good solid bolt action deuce-deuce and a 3-9 scope and anything up to and including 150yards away is considered dead. I've been seriously considering building a Volquartsen auto, though. The 3 10/22's I have are fun, but I like accuracy. Superlative accuracy.

Morning, gents. Gotta long day today, with a ton of stuff to do before I open the store. New month, end of ad, stocking, lots of paperwork. Oh and I have to get the Mini KITH opened up officially in a few. Check it out if you haven't, and join in, its a blast!

Patiently waiting for a knife....I'm excited Daniel! Never been this happy to spend this much money!

Xander get the Volquartsen you will not be un happy. My Green Beret buddy had a Volquartsen and another buddy had one. They are very very accurate. I am with you on anything out to 150 yards being dead with my 10/22.

Morning all,I didn't have to work today so I got to sleep late. :D Now I get to mow and weedeat the yard, need to change the oil in the truck, find the coolant leak on the mini van,and.........

Umm... sounds like a great day off! :D Tryt to have fun! I'm in the same boat, I think I need to change the oil on everything here! I swear I'm going to get that chainsaw running soon!

I decided to take the day off yesterday, I was just too tired to go work and haven't had a day off in a while. We went to the local lake and cruised around, it was nice. The lake here is still frozen over and they actually were out breaking the ice with boats! I was cracking up, they were using little aluminum boats and were just stuck half the time.

I still have 6 foot snow drifts here, getting to my old shop is super tough at the moment. It is melted off almost completely in town, summer is near!
 
ImWilson I wish I could mow my lawn.We had freezing rain last night.Will probably be 6 more weeks till I can mow my lawn.

Daniel I am looking forward to when you tell me your working on my knife! I bought a 3 dvd set of over 4 hours of instruction on becoming your own bow mechanic. It had high reviews and even though I know most of the stuff I like having it on video.I learn better from visual than reading.
 
Daniel I was thinking for that extreme knife build contest you could make a larger version of that design that you are making my chopper from. Like I said it is going to blow people away!!!!
 
Ugh, today at work SUCKED! The credit card processing server crashed for several hours and many other businesses in town and our other stores and neighboring cities were down too. I was running around like crazy all day trying to get things to work, helping customers and never really got to sit down for lunch. All this during a 10 hour day.

But I just got home a bit ago and walked in to my boy screaming excited to show me something...

He is super proud that he now has a big boy bed, as he calls it! He is just all giddy over it! Made my day!

Daniel, this is what it is all about, the feeling you get when you realize how fast they are growing up and my little boy is movin on up in the world. I'm a proud daddy, if you can't tell!

Cool pics Xander5!! Man I remember those days they just seem a lifetime ago.Now 2 of my kids are engaged and I am just waiting for a grandchild to be able to teach to hunt and track deer.Help them have the love that I do for hunting!

Morning everyone!

I was in the shop until past 8pm last night working on drilling and shaping scales. Things are looking good!
 
Men do any of you have any experience with the Otis cleaning system? I just bought the deluxe set for $112 to my door. At Cabels they go for over 150. I also bought a Fiskars 14 inch hatchet,Seeing Daniel does not make them yet.
 
Big, its a cool product, great for a range bag. I really like it for breaking in a new barrel. I don't keep it as my only cleaning kit, though, I still like a one piece carbon rod and bore guide for deep cleaning and scrubbing back and forth with a mop or patch. Also a rod is easier to keep from getting solvent all over the place because you push the patch in first.

Now I shoot mostly moly coated anyways so not as much fouling.

Xander I am with you on the carbon rods.I have a few Tipton carbon rods and bore guides.Do not want solvent to get into my action.For a de greaser nothing can beat brake cleaner it is the same stuff at about a fourth of the price.

Morning men. Well another gunman shoots up a university in Oakland ,CA kills 7 and the first thing the mayor talks about is more restrictive gun laws. Bull shit allow students to carry on campus all bad guy's know even with a CCW you can not carry on a college campus.Maybe if they did allow it they would have a dead gun man and not 7 dead students! To quote Ted Nugent," I don't like repeat offenders.I like dead offenders"!
 
Hell Yeah BC!! I agree. These nut jobs may think twice if the sheep they were intending to slaughter, had a few wolves in sheep's clothing among them.
 
IMWilson I attended a Col David Grossman seminar about 5 years ago and he said 90 % of people are sheep the other 10 % are split between wolves and sheepdogs.Your L.E. are considered sheepdogs.No one wants the sheepdog around until the wolf comes around.He also said if you can legally cary everyday and you don't to look yourself in a mirror and Bahhh. I always carry one of my Glock 40 calibers every where I go.

That is sad to hear about the shooting, I agree with you guys. If one good guy had a gun. I know a guy who told me back in the day he carried a gun even on plane flights, imagine if he was on a terrorist flight! Instead we are all treated like criminals when we fly.

I always try to look at the law from both sides. I'll try to stay away from my personal opinion here but the fact is that as our country passes more laws our economy is going downhill.

I carried my benchmade vex in my car until recently when I found out it was classified as a weapon here in Colorado because of the 4" blade. I don't carry it s a weapon but without it I couldn't cut someone out of a burning wreck... I wonder why people vote for this stuff. I see car accidents all the time but I have never seen a knife fight!

I can just imagine... I see a car go off the side of the road, it bursts into flames but I am on the scene to save the occupants! But when I break out my knife to release them from their jammed seatbelts I get pepper sprayed by the frightened occupants!!! :D :p
