I'm watching Sons of Anarchy right now for the first time, this show is kick ass!

That show is based in my valley. You will hear references to cities just 10 and 15 minutes away from here, Modesto, Ceres, Tracy, and I cant remember the others they mention. Maybe even Stockton. Even filmed a bunch here.

Morning men. Still all wet here, don't think I'm going to the flea market today, wouldn't be worth it. Maybe tomorrow will dry out a bit more.

Big month for me with knives! I just got two slicers from my good buddy DanCo, bought a DIY blade from Mark Wohlwend yesterday, got a rigging knife coming from DFK, and one in the works by Mitch Wilkins JS! Good thing the wife doesn't pick up the mail! I gotta tell ya, I'm really excited about getting the DFK Rigger! Seeing the black one all finished up sure makes me anxious!

DVD? Or did you figure a way to get T.V.?

Netflix! No TV here yet, I figure they will figure that out in this area around the time they start delivering the mail and piping in water! I think I saw a local with one of those flintsone cars the other day!!! What is even more funny is that in town they get a channel or two but it is Albuquerque news! We used to get TV at my old place but it only worked after dark and I think it was literally 3 CSI shows and Dexter on and that was it. Lol they need more variety, I'm not into dead people. OK zombie stuff is cool... :D

That is really cool! I figured it was filmed in that region by the scenery. A lot of that area looks exactly like it does here with the desert hills and all. I have to make it up there!

Oh wow cool! Lots of nice knives! :D

I think the flea market in Durango starts up soon, I really enjoy checking it out. I sold sterling jewelry and stones there for years and it is a great market. A couple of years back I bought a 100+ year old guitar with ivory binding and MOP inlayed down the entire neck for $100!

For some reason old electronic stuff is way cool to me, from guitars to tube amps to old tube anything. Every once in a while I pick up some cool gear for way cheap. When I lived in Austin I had a lot of fun buying and selling that type of thing.

Sunday brunch went well. The wife had a crepe and Zyler got a belgian waffle!

Oh it was! This little creperie is just 3 blocks from the house and the weather is just beautiful today. Made for a splendid stroll and nice breakfast! This little restaurant is just wonderful, Louisiana style french crepes, sweet and savory. They have been open a year and a half, give or take, and we have been going there since day one! Its fun because the staff and owners have all been watching Zyler grow up. He wasn't even walking when we first started going weekly.

Evening men.Made it home from the Detroit area.I was in such a hurry to get home I made 350 miles in just over 5 hours.Xander cool picture! Hope everyone has had a great Sunday! Also great to be back on my computer!!!!!

Evening all, BC I went to Detriot last year about this time of year. I'm like you, don't care if I never go back. As we say around here; I ain't lost nothin' there.

uggh, Essay time.

Anyone want to help me out? It's for English class. 1500 words on cross cultural understanding through the Novel Oryx and Crake by Margaret Atwood and Here, Bullet a collection of poetry by Brian Turner.

I've got 2500 words to write on PTSD and alcohol use/abuse too, but that's easy.

I still edit and proof all my wifes papers for her. She is currently working on her fourth degree! I have been wanting to read the title poem to Here, bullet. I have a B&N gift card I need to use so I think I'll fire up my nook and buy it. Thanx for reminding me!

On a related note, if you enjoy poetry, check out Ballistics by Billy Collins. The best part about his work is that it is hilarious. Not the work of a man striving to be U.S. Poet Laureate, but one who knows the power of his work. Been there, done that, kind of air to it.

If you don't mind, I would like to read your essay on the poetry when you finish it. Not to edit it, but because I enjoy reading about someone elses readings. Another reason I like Billy Collins, "standard" poems are usually his target, writing about other peoples writings, I read about his readings.

Good luck!

Did you try the hair dryer trick, blow hot air into your with the hair dryer. Helps dry up any excess fluid in the ear.
Mom use to have us kids lay our head on a heating pad. Same principle, just takes longer.

Morning men from God's Country the great North! Hope everyone is doing well.Daniel I always put cotton in my ears exact same thing as IM is saying it sucks all the moisture in your ear.Works like a charm.Hope your feeling better soon.

Cotton with isopropanol and vinegar. Both are hydrophyllic. I have been using it for swimmers ear for years. It also helps loosen and clean out any excess wax buildup. Safe to use on children and pets. I hope you wear ear protection in the shop. Keeping the crud out of there should cut down on future reoccurences, I usually have ear buds stuffed in my head with some music going.
