Just got back from the hospital... First time there since '06!

Hospitals suck, but at least the staff were friendly.

Today is the last day of my 20's, tomorrow starts the downhill decent as I turn 30...ugh...I've been telling people its the 1st anniversary of my 29th.

Gonna go play in the shop this morning before work, see what I can come up with.

Ho ho! Not so fast anymore riot, I like that one...

Afternoon. Well, I had plans to work on some stuff but as I grabbed my jewelers I noticed that the ball pein ends are all scratched and gouged. I guess I left the drawer open and Zyler was banging on things! So I spent all morning redressing the faces of all my hammers. My three smallest ones get a full mirror polish, I also had a new one from the flea market that I rehung the head on. The rest get a 220 finish.

Bored at work, slow day, so I grab about 5' of some 350 cord out of my bag, my DFK marlingspike, a lighter and a paperclip. Sounds like Macgyver's pockets, but I came up with this...

Globe knot (tied in hand) over a small wad of paper, did some hitching up the tail and created the loop with a Mobius Brummel Splice. No lock stitching required on this splice, it is self locking, and the Mobius version means you only need one end. A nice neat loop with a fair lead.
