Morning y'all.

My voice slowly came back yesterday, trippy though. I sounded like I was 12 again! I had a great day with the wife, just her and I, grandma called and offered to go pick Zyler up from school so we could hang out while she is on spring break. We went to a nice breakfast at our favorite creperie, then headed out of town and hit a different flea market just to wander around, then we ent further from home for an all you can eat shushi place fr a late lunch. Came back to town around 430 and picked up the boy, got home and made enchiladas from scratch! I haven't had a day of eating like that in a while.


No real plans for today, so we'll see what happens!

A co-worker called yesterday and wanted to trade shifts so it worked out that I have two days off together, woo hoo

Damn, a fellow goes to work early to get some O.T. a couple of days, and he ends up with 3 pages to read. Got some bad news Tuesday. SECO decided they needed to shut down a plant because world wide demand was lower than expected. They picked the only one in the United States to shut down. You guessed it, that's where I work. That plant has been open for 30+ years. Got a few months before I'm laid off, so I'll be grabbing all the over time I can.
 
Damn Wilson, that just blows. I know how you feel though, I went through it several years ago with the demise of MEMS projects and the total elimination of LIGA technology from the defense budget. Hang in there dude, I know you'll find work. I know several shops around here looking for competant machinists who can do manual machining, seems all the new guys have never done it -only CNC- and never mind having them try to use rotary fixtures!

Sorry to hear that Wilson.Good luck finding new work.I tell you,I think it is laaaaaaaame that SECO is closing their only U.S. plant !!! Is SECO a U.S. owned company?
Good morning , check out the old beat to hell KaBar that someone gave me. I am having a hard time deciding what to do with it .I might just put a new handle on it an make it my yard knife.

Dude you think the handle looks bad,you should see the sheath ! It looks like someone made it out of a old and I mean ooold welders glove and for a little pazazz they added a strip of one of my grandma's scarves. haha.But heck, it was free! Also a challenge to make it into something cool.

Ohhhhh.... I have a guitar capo anodized flat black but that makes a lot more sense, lol! I had almost asked a few times...

It's fun, as a maker I know most everyone's real name and often the significance of their screen name. I often have some idea of what the screen name means before I know the person and am totally off!
 
Haha, I guess I don't know guitars, I couldn't think of any other reference than the bike!

I'm plenty drunk, full on some excellent pasta that my lovely wife made, and just gave three big boxes full of Zylers old toys, clothes, etc away to a coworker with two new kids. I'm feelin pretty darn good tonight! I may just step out to the shop and make something. I have two orders I need to make, but don't want to work on paying customers stuff while anebriated, lol! Although some of my best work is when I'm drunk, just ask my wife! Or better yet, don't, lol!

I could get excited about someone dumping some Alpo in a bowl for me after working with food all day, so congrats on the good eats, man. I'd say you'd want to renew after the trial period is up!

Good morning Y'all ! Bako, You guessed it that is where FBC comes from. I thought it ws funny that I could't find a pic of that bike.I will take one soon.
Daniel, I do play guitar too.Now I need to get a flat black capo. I will laugh every time I use it and people will think I am more wierd than they already do.
