Thanks on the projects, new stuff is always fun.

...we are trying to relax, my 2 year old is having a serious breakdown over`the fact that she can't jump off of the couch, lol. Earlier my wife made the mistake of flushing the toilet for her and that was really bad, lmao... who knew! :D

I have a new folder or two and hopefully the same with keychain tools... designs are ready! :D

Just barely under 1" at 100 yards. Put 80 rounds down the pipe breaking the AR in. I am quite pleased!

D, I need to try out some of that 3v sometime. Did you read the article in the latest Blade mag. the " What's hot in blade steels" ? They talk a little about CTS-PD1, it sounds really awesome.
Bobby, I didn't see a pic of those newly built shelves on your Instagram...why?! I'm joking with ya. haha

Nice work, Xander! Good shooting and good gun, from the looks of it. Those groups will only come down as the barrel breaks in, and you dial in the right load.
 
Thanks guys! Liam, I hope it gets better! First thing is a new scope. The old beater 6-24 I'm using now has finally given up, won't hold zero well but once it shifted it finally stayed put (and is why the final group was nearly off the page). The other shots above and left of the group was when it started walking down.

My dad just bought 5 new mags for me for my birthday as well. Was having some feeding issues with mine today. Seems the biggest cause for feeding issues in the AR15 is magazines. Good thing those are an easy fix. All in all, using cheap factory ammo just for the brass and break in I'm very happy with it!

3V - check it out for sure, the results are well worth it! It's awful to finish grind but you can take the edge very thin with great stability. It's tough as can be too. It is very stable in heat treat so you can essentially finish a blade then cook it... I still grind almost everything post heat treat for a few reasons but 3v is a good candidate for early finishing. It rough grinds pretty well hardened, you will use lots of belts but it is nothing tricky. It's in my top five for sure...

I'm gong to look more into the PD1, sounds like some good material.


Right now I'm excited about pushing my D2 far with heat treat... I also see more CPMD2 is finally available, it is awesome material.

Z-Finit is one I really want to use as it is something like 100x more stainless than most stainless with excellent edge holding and super fine grain.

I have some 10v on deck, I don't think the edge holding capability can be touched. I'm still working out the grinding details!

I'm really hoping to buy a huge sheet of CPM154, it is just so good all around.

So many good steels and only so much time to grind!

Bobby, good to hear that that storm missed you! Break that XD in gangsta style, stack 3 or 4 phone books on the floor and buck away!....I am joking don't do that, it is not safe....and the wife won't like it. :D
D, that super duper stainless sounds CRAZY! I can't remember what you called it because I can't see the posts as I type this....stupid forum glitches!
Rolf, if you could have any color material on a knife, what would that color be? :D
