No worries Wilson, just figured I would put it out there to see if someone knew anyone with a lathe at home or free access at work or something. Not something I want anyone to get in trouble over.

Hell, even a trued up 1" grade 8 bolt would work. It's just that I have only wood lathes and I can't hold that tight of tolerance in the drill press. I need it to .0005+/- on the shaft and +/- .01° on the flange ideally. I don't like my gunsmithing tools to be sloppy...

Make it great fellas!

I'm hoping to get a lathe but it won't be soon... I hope you find someone. I know there are a few guys on FB that turn stuff but I can't think of any names.

Will Titanium contaminate copper?

It will contaminate your hoodie, I know that. :D

lunch break... detent set :D ...blue twill

X - is there a makerspace around you? Sometimes they have machinist lathes available.

Good call Liam, I wish there was one here.

Xander - try Bako too, he might know someone.

My hoodie!! I need mo hoods!
Supper Time!!
:D

I get a new hoodie every year... $9. ...old ones are for the shop, I have a nice collection of them with ventilation a la Billy Bob Thornton in U-Turn. :D

hey guys! good evening!

Yeah, I'll ask Bako. No co-op/makerspace here, this is California, the layers would have a field day with liability suits for every broken thumbnail!

It's not a very urgent need, but just something I have been thinking about doing for a while.

Just ordered some pizza, drinking some rum, got some ice on my knee, gonna call it a day.

Wait... we have pizza delivery technlogy! :D That's one thing I miss about town, lol I'd have everything delivered. In Austin back in the day we had Gumby's Pizza with the "Big Ass Gumby"... something like $7 for a 21" Pizza.... the biggest and cheapest pizza around.

Bah - lawyers understand the value of a good liability waiver. :D There are spaces listed for Sacramento, San Fran and elsewhere in the Valley, but nothing really close to you, it seems. http://spaces.makerspace.com/makerspace-directory

Ah well.

I once went around town collecting liability waivers for a Law class, interesting stuff...

The Makerspace thing is cool, a good thing for us all I think.

My next step here is a concrete foundation and plumbing... I need some heavy equipment! :D If I had the space I have an entire lapidary shop which i'd like to set back up again. I'm mostly interested in a surface grinder and a much larger mill.

I'm about to heat treat some blades that I owe you guys... in the meanwhile I have a ton coming up. I found my anodizer leads and also worked on a RF2 yesterday!

Morning!

Shoot, I haven't ordered a pizza in ages. We usually do either take-n'-bake or home made. It's was tasty though!

Working late today, going to be a hell of a busy day. I really need some time off soon.

Hmmm. I sent a package out with the scan label on it.. but didn't write an address on it... I'm assuming and hoping that the scan label has the full address available to the mail people and they can get it shipped to the correct addy still...

I've never done this.. doh' I blame my 2yr old for his trickery... I turned to get a pen then never did and just dropped the damn box in the bin... left.. got home and then the "doh'".

So, anyone do this? Does it come back to the PO or does it make it to it's destination safely? :)

And it looks like I might work a booth at the HTCC come July... new products - ooh yeah!

Make sure to make sure to make it a good one. Make. sure.

Call your local PO, they will know. I'm pretty sure it is safe.

HTCC :D that's cool!

Have a good one too! I added some CF RF2 pics to the blue twill thread for you... :D

Sloth, you are getting as bad as me...only I don't have a two year old to blame my distraction on. :D What the heck is HTCC ?
California has sun again!!!!

Sloth, I take it you are doing the Portland htcc in July? Hmmm, the first one is coming up, on my birthday weekend in SoCal, maybe that's where I'm gonna go for my birthday!! Maybe I can get the wife baking again. . .

Was a ridiculous past two days at work. I've lost 5 pounds and can hardly walk I'm so sore. 15 pallets in two shifts, received, broken down, stocked and rotated. I moved probably 7 or 8 tons of product all by hand.

Make it great!

If you go, visit Clown's World booth and support my buddy and his efforts :D

KAY BAR! hmmm nm.

TGIF.

Long week. Started a BOB for my truck. I actually find the process of selecting what to go in it, and then optimizing it very mentally stimulating. How best to fill this thing without breaking my bank or back!

Gonna need a new knife for it ;)

Broke the AR down last night, cleaned and reoiled it. Keep up with those guns. Still waiting on my XD9 SC to be delivered. It's maddening!

You guys got any weekend plans? I think Rolf and I are about to be buried by snow, but that's what a truck's for!
