Hmmm, east gets slammed.. west is going to be one hell of a drought this summer.. we are on a private well, so no worries here.. but plants dying and fire hazards galore I have a feeling.

Hope all is well with the garage.. glad nobody was hurt..

Bobby- We use screws these days.
:D
We're GTG. It's just a pain! I'll assess the damage when the snow melts.
Some time in June. :D
Thanks, Gang.

We're thinking of you Rolf! Stay safe

Bobby... star drives are the good ones! :D

Sloth, I pm'd you but am not sure if it sent... when i send them my screen just keeps loading indefinitely.

werd. got it. was between office and dinner table, and no bake cookies :D I'll get back to you soon. (that means in the next 36hours or less!)

septic pumped today.. that was a whole lot of stink! rainbow of bacteria! +_+

Sup fellas!

Had a little time before work today, so decided to go play in the shop! Made a little copper MOLLE clip for caliber ID on my rifle case. Was kinda just a proof of concept right now, didn't take much care when stamping it and decided to switch stamping tools after. It's much more dark and patina'd than the pic shows too. Did several heat cycles and quench into different things to get some carbon/oxidation built up so I could rub it off.

I'd like to find some larger number stamps for making more of these. I only have 1/8" letter and number stamps now.

Ugh, was a rough day at work. Not so much my workload or anything, but I fielded two separate complaints about one specific employee after getting one yesterday and a bad review on yelp about the same employee. All in 4 days. The bosses aren't gonna be happy...

Tomorrow off!!! WooHoo!

Top 'O the mornin, bit-chez.
Guess what... it's snowing. Guess what... it's Winter. :D

Morning Rolfie!

Morning everone!

Winter? I actually wish it was more like winter here, we need rain and snow in the mountains, bad. This will be the 4th year in a row in drought status. The lakes are looking terrible.

But, it's gonna be in the 70's today!

Make it great!

We're getting another snowstorm. Started last night with tons of rain, then turned to snow a bit after midnight. Supposed to snow straight through till' 7pm.

Loev my truck >_>

No snow now but you literally can only get here from a couple of highways... passes to the north and east are all closed and chains mandatory nearby.

We're still thinking of you guys Rolf!

The Winter before I started making knives was so bad we couldn't do anything but shovel... I went pro that Winter, shoveling for the money!

We are in this odd spot where the weather is nearly unpredictable... dividing line between East and West. My place is on the first mountain after the desert and never know what we will get.

Sharpen... Sheaths... more mail!

Bobby I bet the truck is good, cars are not usable on my road in the Winter but it isn't maintained for 3 miles. I do want a Subaru again but will probably keep this T100 forever. Studded tires next year though!

I usually hit "new posts" just to see what's going on here... interesting posts today. :D I am glad you guys hang out on our subforum...

Nice!!! I have mine on my OSOE wallet and after a while they have become almost seamless... serious military grade velcro or something!

The patches are made by Mutiny Shop, If I understand correctly the owner started the shop when she was 19 with funds saved up for a car! Cool story and awesome gear. i have a new patch coming out but need to make the corresponding knife first! lol

I think I'm gonna put mine on my ACU jacket for now. I don't have any velcro on my messenger bag or any of my rifle cases. I've though about having velcro put on my messenger bag, but I don't want to ruin the waterproofing on the cover flap.

Gonna get going on a penny folder today!

I was thinking of picking up a rifle case. Anyone have experience with Plano hard cases? Amazon has a good deal on one.

I've used the Plano cases over the years, they're just ok. They are NOT a pelican. Usually they are a little flimsy and don't handle being thrown around the back of a truck very well. Personally, I like soft cases. My MSR is in a Fieldline Tactical 48" case. I got mine from walmart.com for like $29 delivered on special, but they still have good prices. The exact same case was $40-$50 on amazon and ebay. I've been very impressed with its construction too. Heavy duty fabric, plenty of MOLLE webbing, 3 pockets and 2 pouches on the outside, padded inside corner pockets, two hold down straps inside, padded shoulder strap, lockable zippers, the only thing I don't like about it are the clips for closing the pouches, they're kinda chincy. I think I'm going to eliminate them and just put HD velcro on the straps instead. But, no big deal.

I think I'm going to make another MOLLE clip, with more attention to the stamping this time.
