Morning fellas!

Ugh, back to work for me. Oh well, I haven't won the lottery yet so I can't stay home all the time.

Make it great dudes!

I hear you... I've been busy here between snow removal and finishing up Backpackers. My wife's family is keeping us busy with a slew of guests also. My snowblower and snowplow have both decided to break on the same day so I'm trying to figure that out too, with the snow we get it means the difference between being stuck here and not! We have a foot of snow on the driveway... I did get a load of new belts and am grinding fast! :D

Happy New Year!
Organic Black.

Happy New Year! I like it. :D

You guys have a good one!

Home again home again, jiggedy jig.

Hope you all had a Happy Christmas! Baxtalo Krechuno thaj o Nevo Bersh!

Kate and O are staying an extra week in Atlanta to spend time with the G-parents, but I've got to be back to work in the AM, so back in chilly Chicago I am. :/

At least the dog is happy about it.

Also, I'm going to be thinning out the herd with some older knives I'm not using (mostly nothing special), but I also think I'm going to be selling my Fairly Titanium Friction folder. As much as I love it, I just don't carry it - and I cannot justify keeping it around anymore. I'll likely put it up for sale tomorrow, but if anyone is interested and wants to make an offer just let me know. I'd rather it stay "in the family" if it can.

Liam, it's always nice to get away, but better to be home. Too bad about having to let go some cutlery. I know it will go quick! There is also the #TeamFairly group on facebook.

It's Cuba libre time! Got a handle of Sailor Jerry rum from my mother in law for christmas, picked some citrus off the tree, cold coke and call me good!

Morning ya miscreants!

Another day, another dollar. Wish I had more dollars than days of work though...

Make it great!

Liam, best of luck with sales!

Yo Xander!

I've been working on my 1986 S10 snowplow all day, this sucker is complicated! I've learned all about relays, fuel pumps and the pinnacle of mi 80's car computer technology... no running plow yet but I bet I am close. I need to plow to get out of here! Or at least back up the hill... :D

What's the issue? Maybe more minds on it might help.

Rough day today, gonna be rougher tomorrow too :-/

Make it great!

Man, my joints sure let me know it was cold here this morning, it was all the way down to 38° when I got up!!! Makes me shiver!

Morning men! Enjoying a green tea and old fashioned doughnut while getting my workout at work.

Kevin, you kick that flu yet dude?! You still alive?! :p

Make it beyond great fellas, the year is almost up!!

Hey y'all, I'm alive!!! That was the flu from hell!
X, your joints talk? That must be some gooood stuff! :p
D, remove that computer from the S10 and throw it down the hill! :D

Glad you are feeling better! Way to survive.

Late Christmas present was waiting at my office for me. Looking at maybe getting back into competition target shooting, so I got a competitive air rifle for indoor training.

Avanti 753, 10 meter competition rifle with micrometer peep sights. Best bang for the buck in target pellet rifles right now - more than capable of holding its own with mid tier competition air rifles from Feinwerkbau and Anschutz for a fourth of the cost.

I can't wait to see what it can do (or myself, for that matter, it's been nearly two decades since I was last in competition).

Have a great night everyone!

Yeah, ok, that makes my pants a little tighter! That's some seriously nice maple on there! You gonna cut it for an adjustable comb and butt hooks? I can only dream of owning one like that. No competition around here for that style. Just air rifle BR once a month 50 miles away. I guess you aren't going to get that Xisico under lever magnum for hunting then are you? Btw, you get to see that salt plant today that had a wall fall down on one of their holding buldings, burying 11 cars at the Acura dealership next door?! Lol, news said Northside Chicago.

I have made a major discovery into the true identity of our fearless Squatch leader, Daniel...He was an old school bad ass and his TV shows have been recently found and put on the internet...

I hadn't heard about the Morton Salt wall collapse until now. Crazy.

I may cut the stock for a comb and some extensions, it's just a touch short for me. But honestly, it's not too bad for my shooting position. I'm not going to go full anatomical on the stock - that always drove me a bit nuts. Not going for the Xisico for now - there is really not a place to shoot those around here. The Avanti I can shoot indoors though (around 500fps in .177 means easy indoor traps and not much noise).

Size comparison with my "hunting" pellet gun.

Great video! "Get away from the bear... look out, just watch him go."

Ouch - first 10 shot prone and standing scores were pretty disappointing ~1" groups - but I don't think it's the gun. Bench scores were pretty good ~.35" groups (pretty good for non-match ammo and a new gun).

I'm way out of practice. I think I also need to slightly widen the rear peep aperture, and raising the comb will help - I'm having a hard time getting a consistent sight picture. But breathing, stance, etc... all a shitshow. Practice practice!

Anyway. Have a happy new year, gents! I'm going to make some hoppin' john, and take it easy. I hope you all do the same.

How did the group start? Looks like you got a good percentage in the X ring. If it slowly widened and got sloppy, so did your position. I know a lot of prone shooters have now gone to a really low position and have cant bases for their sights. No longer worrying about keeping their head vertical. As usual, find your natural point of aim first! But, that's not bad for a first run out. Just wait until that barrel breaks in!
