Yes I read Craig's post, did you? My response was in the context of whether the knife was fake or not, not whether you told the truth or not. Seems you're a little overly defensive for some reason though. And I'm not yours nor anyone else's "dude."

Things got off kilter and I had to go back and read the first page to remember what we were actually discussing. I respect several opinions here, Oregon keeps track of the fake Buck world so today will go with him that the knife in question is real. Buck has been re-designing some stuff so maybe they have changed these Vantages to be like the Rosewood scale one, I haven't looked in the catalog to see if the G10 have nylon liners like the wood ones. As I said somewhere, the rosewood Avid one I got wasn't very exciting visually and I was going to make it a new EDC to take the beating and so I didn't mess up or lose my nice light color streaked dymondwood version. Funny, thinking a laminated birch wood handle was 'good' looking. Anyway I think we should all agree to let this thread travel down the page into the sunset. If someone has more 345 fake questions, let's start fresh and create a new thread and not drag this thread back into it. Won't lock this one down but would appreciate everyone letting this be the last post...... 300

Isn't there a buck vantage pro 347(discontinued) and a Buck vantage pro 347-1(current) and they seemed to have a slight difference in the handle finishes and it seems to be the only difference. Someone please correct me if Im wrong
 
I think that's what it is. The new is bks-1, the old one is just bks. Im going to have to add it to my list. I wonder if they will do the 342 the same.

Also, handle feels fatter, is actually more comfortable lol. Blade is pretty sharp maybe not quite as razor sharp as my definite legitimate copy.

Just to clarify this once and for all.
In the original post, the one on the right is the NEW version of the Vantage. It now has a combo inlay. This will be on all 341/342/346/347 models. The 340/345 are staying as shipped in the past.
