I had someone send me this and actually ask if this was a real STRIDER knife..LOL
It is on eBay and I reported it as a FAKE but eBay refuses to take it down until STRIDER notifies them of being a trademark infringement.

Help me get this stopped by flooding them with reports of Fake knife.
I don't have any attachments to Strider but I hate to see these things out there.

What was it that caused you to decide it's a fake???

I cannot see any fakiness..............

Well, its starting bid is $9.99 and it's shipped from ZhengZhou, China according to the Ebay listing. Now that I saw that part, it's very possible this is a fake afterall.

As you guys already well know, Chinese knockoffs have included using the actual or closely-rendered logos of the real companies.

It might be a fake but mailbombing the ebay administrators wouldn't convince them of it. They need evidence, such as hearing from the Strider guys.

I'm not sure if it's fake or not but the Buck/Striders had darker colored screws ( could just be the picture ) They were never made in 440 though, first production runs were BG42 and regular production models were ATS34 and if I'm not mistaken the blades were clearly marked so.

I actually think it does look like a fake and a pretty good one too. I could be totally wrong and even though I don't buy Strider I've handled plenty of them. All and all Cougar is right. Ebay won't act unless approached by authority; i.e. money. You'd have to inform Strider directly and have them initiate any legal action.

Actually, the same could be said that redscorpionsix produces fake Beck knives, correct me if I'm wrong.....

I believe Beck has stated that anyone may reproduce his design without license.

hmm, ad says 440, zoom in on the pic and it has Bos ATS-34. it's tiger-striped, which the solutions weren't, the sheath is close, but the stictching looks a little cheap, and what's with the shiny brass button on an od/black tactical rig? hard to say exactly, but the Strider stamp looks a little too far forward as well, should be closer to the G10 slab.

I believe Beck has stated that anyone may reproduce his design without license.

The point being, this ebayer has done nothing wrong and according to his feedback he's legit. It is not a Strider knife. It is a Buck knife. Then you have this guy RSS telling ebay, the knife is a fake, then posting this here on this forum claiming the knife is a fake, slandering someone who has apparently done nothing wrong to anyone. Then wants all of us to bombard ebay with emails claiming the knife is a fake. On what grounds? The guy also offers a money back if not satisfied. Give the guy a break for Christ sake!

People should mind their own business.
