No you didn't. I used my BK5 to cut chicken breasts up tonight and it cut like a charm!

My voice is out, so I'm gonna keep this short.

I've been learning the rooting habits of Bermuda grass lately. Grass hitched a ride in a poorly executed gardening attempt some years back. Getting out every last strand of root is ... exasperating. I've been turning over SoCal dirt for three weeks of my evenings.

I've been curious about these rocks though. I want to see how they really look. Actually, it gave me the final impetus to find a rock tumbler. Yes, we have rocks, we even have a little bit of dry dirt with our rocks. At least the rocks are more interesting than Bermuda grass.

88 degrees today.

I'm ready for fall.

Someone post up some fall leaves turning colors or something to remind me that fall will eventually arrive.

It was 82° here earlier, then a rain front came through, and cooled it off. 67° now.

82 seems kind of warm for this time of year for y'all. At least you've got 67 now.

We lived West of Chicago when I was in elementary school and remember a lot of cool walks with beautifully colored leaves in the fall. I even remember it snowing one year on Halloween. My dad wasn't excited but I was thrilled.

Typical Illinois weather, you just never know.
