Random snark-killing inquiry; anybody here preorder the Ritter MK1-G2? I’m thinking about doing so. I understand there’s some design controversy but I think it’s a quality piece and I like to support KR.

Cool, the re-newed Ritter looks like a fancied up Ritter-blade Griptillian. I'm sure Hogue will do a great job with it. I'd be interested if it fit in my carry limit.

Holy Moly, we just rolled over a 3500m high unmapped (directly) seamount!
It shows up as an amorphous blob on satellite gravimetry, but we just ran over it with our multibeam sonar. Heading back for two more passes before continuing on to San Francisco.

We're about 625 nautical miles nearly due west of LA at the moment.

Fortunately the bridge is looking at the surface ahead while we're peering at computer screens that look down!

That's cool! Sounds like some sophisticated sounders. Does that mean someone gets to name it? :D

That a seamount is unmapped is not a surprise. What is surprising is that a seamount that close (relatively) to major naval ports is unmapped.

I'm betting the Navy has mapped that puppy to the square inch and just not told anyone. It's not a hazard to SURFACE navigation, so civilian shipping isn't in extremis from it and what foreign subs don't know about, well we sure don't care about them.

Supposed to hit 29° here tonight, our first freeze.
That reminds me.... I need to put the garden hose away.

Thanks, Dubz!

I did get out to enjoy the cool rainy weather on Sunday though.

40 degrees with a light drizzle didn't stop me from getting her out to warm up her engine and stretch her legs a bit.

Did all that myself. Garden hose put away, outside water turned off for the season, plants inside, etc.

Nice looking Jeep.
