Our pepper crop has been decimated by pepper maggots this year. Not happy at all. Almost all our jalapenos, poblanos and habaneros are gone. Did I mention that I'm not happy?

That sucks, sorry to hear of this. Tried any Sevendust? That stuff works wonder for my pepper, tomato, melon and Japanese maple trees!
 
Ok, I sandblasted and sharpened a Patrol machete for someone here and I can't for the life of me, remember who it was???
 
I just read a review where someone broke their Patrol machete! I think it was a Cliff Stamp review? Have you really wailed on yours Tanker?

I read that on also. I took it with a grain of salt. I got the feeling of an underlying agenda. Just my take on it. I have beat the crap out of it. All of my batoning has been in the center of the blade and I don't hit it far out towards the tip. Cutting down on leverage. I will look to see if I have a batoning pic. It is a Machete and I use it as such. But I think at M mbay1455 has beaten his but good

Yup it was me and a darn pretty 6er it is. Johnny did an awesome job and man o man he can sharpen a blade. Unfortunately (or fortunately) life has intervened in the many months now since I got the patrol machete back from 91 and it is still in a box. Haven't beat on it at all.

I also got another six back from Dex after he parkerized it for me. Turned out real black this time instead of the dark grey I've seen before. Looks great but I haven't beat on that either. Looks almost like the original finish, back to new.

I need to go into the penalty box for Becker owners who don't use their knives (yes there should be one).

I'm actually in the early stages of wondering whether it's time to part with a few sharp things since I'm not getting much, if any, woods time and that isn't too likely to change as I age since I'm already a long way from being a spring chicken.

I owe some pictures of the three versions: original, blasted and parkerized. May or may not get around to that soon but will happen sometime.
