Fantastic Plastic

This sort of reminds me of American car colours of the 50's ;) Turquoise , Aquamarine ?

🥰 My 1966 IHC 1100A "half tonne" pickup (5,800 lb gross vehicle weight, with 3,250 pounds across the scales, no load, with a full tank of fuel = 2,550 pound load capacity ... with the OEM 15" Good Year bias ply 4 ply passenger car tyres, Not bad for a "half ton" pickup.😇👍. I don't recall how much the "D" ranked 8 ply 16" Michelin radials I put on raised the max. load capacity.
14 lead springs each side in back (including the 9 factory overload springs ; only just 9 each side in front.) and 1969 Ford F100 pickup (worthless/useless 550 pound load capacity. A single HALF cord of seasoned firewood overloaded it.🙄)
were both "Turquoise"/"Aqua Marine"
I wish I still had that 1100A ...

My dad had a 1972, 1210, which was a 3/4 ton with a large 392 V8 and a granny gear 4 speed.

Best truck ever.

Best truck ever.
No argument from me.
They out performed the competition where it mattered (IMHO): Load capacity, durability, and operating costs.
With 1500 pounds (yes, I went over the truck stop scales after topping off the gas) of my and my then girlfriend's belongings on the back, covered by a piece of carpet flapping in the breeze, a rusty fuel tank that leaked when over 3/4 full, AND five (!!!) pin holes in the steel fuel line, I got 33.5 mpg on the Interstates when we moved from Eastern most Iowa to Fontana, California.
BG241 inline six and 3 on the tree. I did keep it at an indicated "60" MPH. However, with the 16" radials it was running, my actual speed was higher, closer to 70 ~ 75 mph.

I will admit there may have been something wrong with my 1100A. A full size half ton pickup isn't supposed to get 33.5 mpg ... unloaded and without any fuel leaks ... let alone WITH a 1500 pound load AND fuel leaks. 😳

IHC did not have a "smooth" ride (at least mine didn't). I can only guess the majority of buyers put ride comfort above practicality and capability. Nothing else explains why IHC left the light truck market in 1975.

I had a feeling that little Mora could fell a tree. Beavers can, so why couldn't that Mora? 😇👍

This Pallares can ;):thumbsup::

More fantastic plastic. A Western S-H48B, in staglon and, something you don't see everyday, a Bowen R1306B. This is a miniature Remington R1306 and is about the size of a GEC83. The function is flawless, the workmanship a step below that of GEC, at about the level of the old Camillus-made Remingtons. Nice little knife for the money.
