Great, thanks for the info. Can't wait until those REX 121 K2s are done so I can put this steel to work! :thumbup:I would say 13 to 15 degree is what you see on this mule.
take care

Hello Farid,
Much respect for your work.
I would like to get on your list for a REX121 K2.
Also, I just noticed an old for sale thread with a couple T5000s. Are these both sold? Please let me know.
Best regards,
cfmatty
Hey faridhow yah doing bro, like those mules, they do look wicked.
Hello Farid,
I don't seem to have the capability to PM you and I don't know your e-mail address.
Could you please drop me an e-mail when you have time so we can discuss? cfmatty@gmail.com
Many Thanks,
Chris
Farid, this obsession with learning, testing, and refining is exactly why I love your knives. Just on the basis of the steels you use, you'd be able to get performance that exceeds 95% of the knives out there even with a "cookie-cutter" or third-party heat treat. But you go the extra mile to test and optimize your heat-treat so you squeeze every last bit of performance out of what are already very high-performance steels. :thumbup:Since the other day I have continued to keep cutting and testing with the CPM-REX 121 mule, mainly wood as you see in the picture, yes at some point the blade will need sharpening but that point has not yet arrived and I have cut a lot more wood since yesterday without re-sharpening. it is very difficult to explain to people when they ask me ‘ what’s the big deal, I just use D2’, it is not that there is anything wrong with that, I use many grades but they are Not CPM-REX 121 and they never will be, even if someone else uses REX 121 steel it also may not perform like my blade due to the amount of time I have invested in learning what this steel can do and cannot do with many different heat-treating methods and formulas, a super steel is nothing without the perfect heat-treating.
Thank you all for your support and interest.
What is the price on one of these knives?
my email is kraig5list@yahoo.com
BTW you should have a Youtube account and make videos of your knife tests, it would be AWESOME!
I will be doing some testing on cardboard and wood in the next day or two with the very first CPM-REX 121 mule, also I have broken a blade to see the grain structure which I can see is very fine.
I will keep you all updated on my tests.

When you do this break test, what are you typically looking for? I salute you for sacrificing one but I guess I don't understand what to look for.
Thanks
