Favorite 300.

Henry, my hats off to you, I never thought I could carry a knife for a year straight.
That was until I got my 301, now I'm thinking about giving it a try.

I have a new favorite thanks to Matt, I got my 303 today and have had it in my pocket ever since, it feels great and I love the size.
I'm hoping to pair it up with my 301 for a year, I think they'd make a great partnership in my pocket.

I'll post pics tomorrow.

All fine looking knives,i have a favorite ,its the buck whittler,i have huge hands but love that little knife to no end. When i quit smoking in 1999,i completely wore out a whittler ,i occupied my hands with whittling sticks and after 6 months she was worn out,but i was smoke free!

Mine would be the 319.

Thanks again, Matt.

My favorite is the 301. It's the only knife I remember my Grandfather ever using. And he used it a lot. He snapped the tip off of the spey blade, ground it down to a flathead screwdriver, and kept on truckin' with it.

Here's my Dad's old 301, which he carried almost daily for 40 years. Still looks pretty good, doesn't it? Dad takes good care of his stuff. Is is very likely that this is the knife he had in his pocket when I was born. I traded him a new 301 for it, he carries that one now. This old soldier is retired. I suspect I will inherit my Grandfather's old 301 with the screwdriver blade some day, but Dad's not ready to part with it yet.

I carry a black delrin 301 now too. It and the others will all go to my son someday. :)

Thats awesome Andy, in honor of you, your father, and your grandfather, I'll stick a 301 in my pocket for the day.
Thanks for sharing

This thread almost brought a tear to my eye. I never had a Buck knife passed down to me by a person who was special in my life. The closest thing was a Chineese lock blade ( kind of like a Buck 55) my father inlaw gave me. Those are the things I hope to do with my (future) Grandchildren. My two girls love the knives I have given them and I hope they look at them later in life and say the same things all of you are talk'en about.

Maybe I can Be rembered one day as well...

Heh finally have something to post on her. And would hate for this thread to be lost in the archives or something

I had a buck 301 (sold it to a friend/co-worker as his first pocket knife so i feel pretty good about that) And after picking up the 309 it has displaced EVERYTHING else out of his pocket so i would have to say my favorite is my yellow 309

RARE BUCK 309
Has the special tip for tightening screws on eyeglasses, non skid thumb slot, and the rare flathead screwdriver tip on the other end.

It looks a lot like one I found at a 4 way stop on a country gravel road in the Tex panhandle.....300Bucks

Great thread!

My favorite is the 307. Close second is the 301.

Superbly made, reliable knives.
