oh yeah, well I bet you don't have your dog helping you cut down the logs at the same time like I do:
He helps me out sometimes, but he generally likes to just sit and chill and admire a quality blade. Much like we all do really.

My favorites are the NMFBM and the BWM but the SYKCO 1311 is an awesome chopper. I just picked up the MOABOLO in the picture so it hasn't been used yet but I believe it will be a beast as well.

From what I understand, lots of older schooler stuff is differently labeled. Aftershock bolo for example has different markings on #1-3 of the LE....
And this one is sterile

Most of the coated ones were sterile. Sterile was actually very common until 2001. Most of my SHBM's were sterile.

Nice. Pre 2001.... Wich more than likely means that it's got the good ol 61hrc heat treat?

Good question. There is no way to prove it, but I would think so. Same thing with the bolo, as that one sold in late 2000.

I guess doing whatever test is needed to determine hrc on the blade? I could look through class notes to find the name of the test, and method, but am too lazy ATM.

Not sure how it happened, but just discovered yesterday that I didn't have the SYKCO 1111. Have the others from 311 to 1311, bUT not the 11. Glad I was able to score one on the exchange. I suppose if I was using them more often I would have noticed it missing sooner. Another reason not to just let your blades just sit around.
