Hello all, here goes my first post. I'd like to know what are your favorite American made production knives? Ha, point taken and now the political BS is taken out. I'm not xenophobic, and love most all the people I've met of the 34 countries I've visited so far.

I'll start this off by stating my all time favorites, the Benchmade 940 Osborne and Lone Wolf Harsey T2 Ranger.

Advice for the future, you can leave out the political crap and still get your point across.

Anyway, the Spyderco Manix 2.

I don't support any of that stuff either. That's why the knife in my pocket is Italian.

Leaving superfluous political BS aside, the Manix 2 XL is probably my favorite folder made in the U.S.

Benchmade, Gripilian or Barrage

I'm currently stuck on which one to purchase :-)

Hello all, here goes my first post. I'd like to know what are your favorite American made production knives? Due to not wanting to support corrupt dictatorships, sweatshop labor, human rights abuses, suppression of freedom of speech, lax environmental pollution standards, and simply wanting to support jobs and our local economy I'd like to keep my money in the USA.

That's nice. :) I agree, and was going to post the 940 before even opening the thread! From my favorite Oligopoly/corporatocracy. :)

I'm not completely sure what is American made and what is not.
I think these from my favorites are American made:
Benchmade 890 Torrent
Benchmade 913 Stryker
Benchmade 581 Barrage
ZT 0561
Spyderco Military
Spyderco Manix 2
Spyderco Paramilitary 2

  • CRK
  • Strider
  • Hinderer
  • Spartan

  • ZT
  • Hogue
  • ProTech

  • Benchmade
  • Spyderco (U.S. models)
  • Kershaw (U.S. models)

I am quite fond of my CRK Sebenza 25.The Golden Produced Spydercos, Benchmade, and ZT are all wonderful domestically produced production knives..CRK sets the bar for production folders in my eyes.ZT's LE knives are quite spectacular and are amazingly popular.Spyderco releases some really cool Golden produced sprints every year and you will get to taste some of the latest and greatest exotic blade steels.BM is the only Company that I know of that has a production model in one of my favorite steels S90V.Hinderer and Strider tend to always be very sought after and circulating on the exchange.... It all depends what floats your boat.......

I'm going to have to go with this list right here.

Strider SMF-GG in particular, I have a soft spot for the ZT 0301 and a couple of Benchmade models. Spyderco has a few that I like.
Spartan and Winkler make some good fixed blades as well.

Original, 2004 and earlier, Schrade Old Timer knives.

Current production, Great Eastern Cutlery. The quality of Canal Street Cutlery has been outstanding recently.

Add KaBar / Becker and ESEE to my list as well.

Spyderco Military, Paramilitary 2.

I also have a soft spot for the Buck 110 as I grew up around them.

I don't carry or use one much now but don't see myself being without one.

Survive! Knives, Tops and Spartan Blades for fixed blades.

Southern Grind Bad Monkey, Chris Reeve, Spydie PM2, and while not truely production, Les George's VECP AND Talos midtecs.
