Really, no one has said anything disparaging about another country in the last 30 posts. Yet you gotta stir it up again. :thumbdn:

Why are there so many SOB racist comments here? Lets be reasonable. Anyone who knows--well basically anything--about knives knows that many countries outside of the US produce excellent quality knives. And yup, America also has many superb knifemakers. I mean were talking about whole damn countries here. You can write off certain areas of most countries, certain makers etc, but axing off whole countries? Anyway...
:confused:With all due respect Sir you are confusing me.....Do you have a favorite American made production knife?
Best,
salmonkiller

you need to look up the definition of racist before playing that card. Nobody here has made even a slightly racist comment.

Choosing to support the economy of your own country, or excluding other countries due to political reasons, or because of known unfair trade practices, is in no way racist.

Sorry, I just have a problem with people constantly misusing that word, and throwing accusations when it simply does not apply.

I read the whole thread all at once and was responding to earlier posts that were no longer relevant. Poor etiquette on my part. I apologize :/

Favorite American made production knife is the Bark River Knives Aurora, though some might call it a semi custom.

That's more like it. Welcome to BladeForums. :)

FYI, we have similar topics regularly, "Best Italian knife." "Post your German knives here." etc.

Buck. Made in USA or elsewhere.
Regardless of where it was made, a USA company is importing it, so you are supporting a USA company if you buy one.
Personally , I don 't put much stock in "knives or ______ from _______ are garbage ...." statements. I remember when " Made in Japan", "Made in Taiwan", "Made in India", and so on were put down ad much as "Made in China" is now. Funny thing ... Japan, Taiwan, India, Napal, and others are now known for producing high end knives.
China is one of the top builders of Mulit-MILLION Dollar Mega-Yachts for several years now, regardless of what brand is on the hull. China has the fastest growing economy in the world. They can (and do) provide what ever quality the company contracting with them wants. All without sweat shops, slave labor, or child labor.

Japan, Taiwan, India, etc are not waging cyberwar against the USA and making plans to destroy us and take over the world with b/s communist ideology. And who said China does not do sweat shops and slave labor? Communist china does whatever it takes to bring in money, whether it's paying slave wages in its factories or ruining the environment or stealing our designs and technologies or putting poison in cough medicine and milk. Anyone who buys anything from mainland China actually risks death or serious injury every time, and I'm not kidding. As for the OP's question, my favorite American made is my TOPS Condor Alert.
