What is your favorite animal to hunt?

I like taking all varities of animals. I like hunting quail, duck, possums, foxes, deer, squirrel and even take on the occassional groundhog. Personally I prefer hunting raccoons because without a season bag limit I can go out night after night after night.

It would have to be ruffed grouse for me.
Not so much the early season easy birds that fly up and land on a branch. I'm talking about the late season been around the block phd ones that fray your nerves with ambush style flushes and rocket like speed crossing shots while doing loops that's in cover so thick you have to just poke and shoot. It's like they fly through trees not around them, real shell burners.
 
I am partial to hunting groundhog. Just drive the truck out on a hill, relax and read a book while looking through the scope every now and then.

222 swift hates groundhogs with a burning passion.
 
If I had to choose just one, I would give all else up to hunt Spring Gobblers.:thumbup:
 
.22 silhouette rifle and rats running to the grain barn is number one. People that owe me money is number two.
 
I like hunting squirrel with dogs the best. A friend had an Australasian Shepard that would bark up trees that hid squirrels. My half husky would sit down , look up and give a little whine telling me there is a critter above. Usually squirrel but sometimes possum . Lots of fun.
 
Whitetail deer. But we like watching hunting videos in the off season.

My All time fave animal to hunt is Moose with rifle or bow. Always wanted to do an archery hunt for Bison tho
 
Well with sheep, mountain goats, whitetails, mulie, elk, moose and caribou - I can't narrow it down to only one fav :)
