Favorite Animal to Hunt

goose, I like being able to hunt on a field or lake depending on how Im feeling and not having to be as patient as with deer. I think i would like pheasant more if I lived in a better area for em or had a dog.
 
Turkey, elk and black bear. Bear is the best, it can be a challange just to find one. Looking to get me a brown bear someday. And I only bow hunt, recurve for now.
 
Hogs. After going after them once, deer hunting seems a boring pastime. Hogs can be dangerous, taste better, and can be killed by bullet, arrow, or blade in TX.
 
Tree rats with .22, in early fall when they start cutting Missouri hickory nuts. It's a blast

Yea, hogs are a lot of fun to hunt. We can kill'em down here year round 24/7 with any legal means. The most exciting way for me has been using dogs and knives.

This is a dog caught hog that we kept alive for the trip out.

We caught the hog in some of the thickest nastiest cover around. This was a hunt in one of our national forrests. It was a few years back when we were still allowed to use dogs to hunt there.

You ever try spear hunting hogs? Loads of fun, but don't let those get too close. Got me a scar on my leg to remind me if that lesson.
 
I love hunting anything that gets me out in the field. If I had to choose just one I'd say Elk.
 
Turkey ~ Der & Hog & in that order as none go to waste all the way down to some fine tasting Jerky from the Deer and a few Tree Rats.!******
Just living out here in the Country and watching the wildlife is enough sometimes to make life worth living.^

I never tried hunting hogs with a spear. I would bet it's exciting. It can get a little hairy trying to stick a big boar fighting the dogs in thick brush. I have been bit a time or two(wear leather gloves. It hurts less.) And I have had the snot kicked out of me by a big boar. It'll definitely get your heart pumping.

What did you take the Cape Buffalo with? Caliber, load and bullet weight. Also, have you ever got close enough to a trophy ram to take it with a bow? Nice trophies Joe! :thumbup: :)
 
The brightly colored orange bird called skeet is my favorite

In actuality, even if I haven't got to shoot yet, my favorite every time I have been Is deer, so quiet sitting in the stand
