Over the years I can think of a lot of great guys in the knife community. Some of the best people by far. This thread isn’t about them.
:)
There have been a few negative people, both past and present. Who is your favorite bad apple and why? A favorite BS er,con, lie, myth, scam, big story teller, etcetera lets hear em.

Gentlemen...as your newest Moderator in training I am going to make a request...Lets keep this thread...kind...in other words..NO PERSONAL ATTACKS ON OTHER MEMBERS OF THIS BOARD OR KNIFEMAKERS, I DO NOT CARE IF YOU THINK THE PERSON IS DESERVING OF BEING CALLED A BAD SEED OR NOT...WE HAVE THE HALL OF SHAME FOR THIS IN THE EXCHANGE SECTION

So if you want to talk about J.R. from the T.V. series Dallas...great but lets not offend and keep it civil..

Ren you are right and this could be a very touchy thread. I wasn't really thinking when I posted, and didn't really want to start a flame war between BFC and the members here. I was kind of thinking about well known shisters and controversial people in the knife hobby. Some have been on BFC and most really haven't been on the forum to my knowledge.
Can you report yourself or your own thread?

The problem is, this is NOT General Knife Discussion material. Even the Hall of Shame is a FEEDBACK function. This thread would have gone over a lot better in Whine & Cheese.

Please move the thread to what ever forum you think is best. Truthfully after thinking about it the thread could easily become more of a gossip thread than anything and I probably should have known better than to start it at all.

Andrew Kunz, aka Magicman133, greatknivesgreatprices.com

Not my favourite anything just a guy who I would like to see shut down.

Greg Kruty, of Parma, Ohio, conned me out of a pair of Oakley M-frame. (gkruty on this forum)

favourite part? He "recalled" his package to me after he "found" that my Oakley was, in his words, "fake". Interesting how we mailed at the same time and 3 days after he received my package, his package was still "recallable". Of special interest of couse is that he used fedex (which is faster than USPS that I used).

Never heard back from him after accusing me of sending him fake Oakley and that he'll "send it back" to me.

Allan Blade? c'mon, 90 pages, NOBODY defending him, and the guy still managed to con folks at British Blades out of more money? Now THAT is a good con man.

That is a good con man. Some of them practically broke off relations with us because we insisted he was no good.

I'll bet anyone that we haven't heard the last of Allan Blade. He is in my top 5 for sure.

Favorite and bad seed don't go together for me. There are a few that are on the top of the scumbag heap. but favorite would not be the word I would use to describe them.

Allan Blade, Vlad Pavlov/Ann Dem and Art Sigmon are at the top of my list. Then Dale Chudzinski, Roger Linger, Jack Crain and Peter Jensen follow closely behind.

lotsas folks dont like jaxurman but i did several trades, spoke with him on the phone a few times, he helped me get my 1st emerson custom, never did me wrong at all, of course YMMV lol.

then there was the guy that would " praty with manky knyff in the jangl "

;)

John, I must have missed this - what the hell are you talking about and why are we not serving drinks for it?

If he's already talking like this then the last thing he needs is another adult beverage! :D . I haven't been around too long but my 'least' "favorite" bad seed would be Anthony Sorenson aka "bladegoblin". This guy made a dumb mistake and then rode it til' it bucked him. Last I checked it was nearly 300 posts and he kept insisting he was just gonna keep the ~$180 dollars and the other guy was SOL.. What a POS!
