Favorite Carry knife?

I would have to say my Victorinox Swiss Army Craftsman. I can pull this out of my pocket in any environment - especially the office - without raising any eyebrows.

It looks "friendly" instead of "threatening." It is immediately recognized as a Swiss Army knife rather than as a "weapon." In today's litigious atmosphere, where you are legally liable for everything you say or do, it's a pretty safe bet.

If someone asks me about the Leatherman PST I have clipped to my belt, I say it's a pair of folding pliers. I'll leave it in the car if I have to, but my Swiss Army knife stays with me.

As a participant on this thread remarked, carrying a Swiss Army knife is, indeed, "kinda like wearing pants."

My daily carry knives include, but are not limited to: Pro-Tech Runt(Blue), A.G.Russell quince-burl damascus folder(model 340), A.G.Russell Walker Lock with Ti bolsters and quince burl handle. Great knives, and together they can handle anything. Saving up for a MT LCC D/A, and that will probably go with me everywhere.

The lightest folder that I ever carried and used was a large Benchmade Eclipse. For a larger folder, you could even clip it to a pair of lightweight running shorts or sweats and not even notice it was there.

I have many knives suitable for daily carry and I have carried them all for extended periods of time at one time or another. I one I carry most often though, and the one I keep coming back to is my Cold Steel Volyager Tanto straight edge.

While lacking the glitz and glamor many of my other knives possess, the Voyager is light, strong, inexpensive should it be lost, and very, very sharp. It seems to me this knife possesses all a knife should have.

Usually my daily carry is whatever my latest knife purchase was. It happens to currently be my stonewash, plain edge MT LCC

I love this knife! Oh yeah, IMHO it's NOT too heavy and NOT too big for daily carry. In fact, last night I compared it to my SpeedTech Synergy and they are very close in size, both handle and blade.

Got to be my LCC it fits deep into my pocket so I don't worry about it falling out and it's built like a tank.

Lets see:
Every day I carry a Nite Iz pouch with (1)Buck 532, (1)CRKT M16-03, (1)Al Mar SERE 2000 and in my back pocket is (1)Micro Tech mini SOCOM (red)and in my right front pocket is a Benchmade M2 mini AFCK.
Now, these are just the folding knives!

Lately I've had a Spyderco Endura, partially serrated in my back pocket, Left Handed CRT Mirage in my left front pocket, and a Kershaw Corral Creek II and a SAK Executive in my right front pocket. Been pretty standard over the last few weeks. I'd have the toughest time giving up the little Kershaw, niced knife.

My favorite lightweight pocket knife is the David Boye lockback folder. It is very ergonomic, comes with Boye Dendritic Steel (BDS) which far surpasses the AUS or 440 available on most lightweights, and you get get them with custom handle scales and blade etching. They are light, cut like crazy, and they are pretty.

The pocket clip sucks though. Get a custom one with wood or micarta scales and no clip.

I think the Mini SOCOM Tanto is the best of the light-wheight category. I have a full size, but it's for the collection even though the mini I carry is a Signature series.

Hehehehe!

Right now, I carry the Spyderco Harpy and the Peanut Scout. When I deploy (real-world or exercise), I add my Grifith "Marshall" to the list.

My favorite carry knife right now is probably my BM 940, and I almost always carry it. I'm kinda careful with it though because it's so pretty I don't want to fukc it up. When I don't want to have to worry about it I carry my mini-AFCK instead. But I always have my 710hs on me. It gets less use but I trust it more than any other folder I own.
