I have not had a problem with the Ryan (either the original or factory edition) hanging up on my pockets. However, I don't think it would be hard to sand down the openings at the ends of the slots in the scales. I assume this must be where people are experiencing difficulties. If the openings at the ends of the slots were "feathered" down to the frame with sanding, I can't see how the open ends of those slots would then be able to grab one's pocket. I hope I'm not missing the cause of the problem, since I haven't experienced it.
