I think I just fell in love. That looks like it'd be great in the kitchen...

Mmmm... for some things, I guess. It really excells as stabing and slashing, though (at least, based on my testing versus carboard and pop bottle targets).

It depends on your situation and location I guess. Different tools for different purpose. For me, I'm not interested in a "fighter", because I'm not trying to get into a long prolonged knife fight. But something that would fit the bill for me would be a Shivworks Disciple or Clinchpick.

Bark River Smoke Jumper for me, Blade long enough to hit deeper vital, and quick it the hand. Plus it is a great Utility knife which is what you would be using it for most of the time.

That Dark Ops knife is a joke by the way!

Here's my pick: the Strider Tiger OL.

If you pull this on a guy who doesn't know knives, he will be scared sh!tless for sure. Showing this knife to friends always elicits a few "holy..."s and "that's badass as HELL"s.

If your opponent recognizes the knife...well, he'll let his guard down for sure, maybe even drop to the floor laughing. At which time you can go in for the easy kill.

Cold Steel GI Tanto with handle scales (not the cord wrap version). 1055 (or is it 1050?) steel with sharp false edge. Cheap and good and IMO a decent fighting knife as well as for utility. Sheath is not leather so knife can be stored for a long time in the sheath with no fear of rust.

Might wanna get a look in the Knifemaker's for sale subforum, got a lot of good blades there, might fit ur bill.

I specifically purchased the cordwrap version. Any reason why you prefer the scales?

I understand that knife looks ridiculous and somewhat impractical. Is there something about this knife I don't know? Seems to be a big target of ridicule.

I prefer a fuller feel to my grips that's why the scaled GI Tanto. Another thing is the destructive test by Noss4, the cord was not too secure, unless you cordwrap it youself which can be stronger than the one it came with.

Favorite that I own would be the first Spyderco Perrin. And it is a useful pattern for normal stuff, so it is not a waste to own it.

Yeah, I've always liked that one too. Light as a feather and works well for about anything.

Couple of my all time favorites are the Camillus M3 and the EK knives M-4 they're just IMO.
