Favorite Kershaw Knife?

My favorite Kershaw's would be a tie between the JYD series and the SpecBump. For real heavy use nothing beats my ZT0205.:D

Hi-Im new to folders, and have seen a few- but nothing on the scale compared to you guys,...But I must admit I realy like the Kershaw Speed Bump-its relatively cheap, and yet the opening action is great...quick...smooth, and sharp as hell--I have yet to handle a zt ( hey-I am in New Zealand here ) but cant wait .
If anyone can share their experienced thoughts as to why not the Speed Bump for an edc?-all I can see is probably the size come into factor there?..but then some knives here mentioned are as big-if not bigger?
-I would appreciate your honest opinions.
I did own a couple of speed bumps-but as soon as my other knife mates got hold of them-they were gone lol-so I have just recieved another one from Ryan-this one I will keep :-)

the ZT 0200 is a "super bump" but it is super heavy.

I got my first ever Kershaw knife in the mail today. It was a Newletter special called a "Needs Work" with G-10 scales and uses a flipper with some sort of assist. The steel isn't labled but it's a cool little knife with a blade that tapers town to a straight edge reminescent of a meat cleaver. I really dig that blade shape!

I got a free general purpose, semi-serrated Rostfrei kitchen knife with it for <$40

I think I'm going to buy a few more Kershaws. I have no clue what to get next , but I'd like to get one in G-10, a bit longer than 3" blade, maybe 3.5 minimum and even faster assist if such a model exists.

Your Needs Work is ether Sandvik 13C26 or 14C28N, depending on when it was made. There might be a date etched on the blade near the handle.

As for your next choice, for what you're looking for, a composite blade ZDP Blur (from kershawguy. Fantastic prices on factory blems) or a composite blade G-10 Tyrade. CPM-D2 on the cutting edge of that one. So many options...

Tough call, but it would probably be my SpecBump although my RAMs get more carry.

If you add in ZT then it would be my 0200 although my 0350 gets more carry. My 0301 is a great knife, but I'm having a hard time warming up to my 0400.

Bigtime honorable mentions to my Cyclones, the great Skyline, and my new Blur which is really impressing me.

Just checked my G-10 Needs Work and there isn't a date stamp. Got them back in August 2009, though. I'm guessing they were all made after Kershaw stopped using that. I thought all the G-10 versions were stone washed 14C28N.

+1 and +1 on both the CB ZDP Blur and G-10 Tyrade. Both very nice knives, but personally I'd go for the Tyrade, in Orange G-10. :D

You're right. Minor brain seizure. All the stonewashed ones were 14C28N

Nice pics!

I love the RAM! Just got one for christmas and I can't say enough good things about it. I would say my favorite though would have to be the junyard dog II composite. It has such a smooth action and it feels substantial in my hand (which is something I really value in a knife). If it didnt have kershaw etched on the blade I would think it was a zt.

My two favorite Kershaws are my Spec Bump and my OD-1. Both knives are exceptionally well made and finished, and both perform brilliantly.

RAM, Random Task, Zing, Ti-ZDP Leek, Groove, PackRat, 0500 MUDD,.....
Hell, I could go on for a while here.

There is that Random Task II and a slew of other new.......wait, what?

I also heard a rumor about some new ZT's, but..........

;) :D

Hmmm.....hard to say but I rotate between 3 Bumps,4 Blurs and a couple of ZT's(Dobson modded 350 and a 200)

I'm going to my S30V Spec Bump. Sexy, sharp, fast.
Recycled an old pic

I'm jealous as hell of those Phillip scales on your 0350.. Very Nice!

I'm having a really hard time deciding between the Groove and the E.T. They're the only Kershaws I currently have multiples of (and by multiples, I mean more than three of each:eek:), and when I have multiples of something, it is because I REALLY like it. So, I'm going to have to go with both!:D

No love for the BOA in Black? I loved that knife. Carried one exclusively for 8years. I wonder why it gets no play one BF.com

I'm also found of the ZT 300 line.

I'd like to try a ZTMUDD

I just picked up a Lahar last week and I'd have to add that to the list. It's a lot of knife. I really dislike paying full retail for a knife but with this one I did as it was right there in front of me.
